Carl, not to be d**k but on his book he used a C. Your point is well made. That description is amazing in Dr. Sagan's own voice.

The problems is... Not all life evolves to have intelligence. We can take as an example the fact Earth is full of life, but we can't communicate with them in the same way.
@pigmuffin3581

@@MarkHobbes on the other hand, and to dumb it down. There are earth copycat planets, which are essentially different versions of earth. And what that means is, since we evolved with evolution thanks to the planet (again dumbing it down i don’t want to spend an hour typing out the explanation sorry). It’s entirely possible that evolution could happen on the copycat planets just like ours did.

It always aggravates me with this current generation not believing that we touched down on the moon. We even have people thinking that the Earth is flat. I was around doing the space age and there were so many people involved in NASA and the Apollo missions. There is no way tens of thousands of people could keep such a secret under wraps without a getting out. Most of you were either too young or not even around when this was going on. It makes us older folks shake our heads.

Even if there is no life anywhere else in the universe at this moment, it is highly probable that somewhere else it will arise (and probably long after the demise of the Earthlings.). Good stuff! The weirdest thing of all is that the eggheads (theoretical physicists) think that there are probably an infinite amount of universes out there (or in here), which the call the multi-verse so we are very much not alone - we're just one bubble in an endless sea of bubbles. think I'll just drink another beer

@@liynne warp speed, negative gravity, hyperspace. In any given space you aren’t traveling faster than causality but effectively we’d be cheating the universal speed limit. Yeah right we went to the moon in 1969! Where the telemetry? I am sceptical. Richard Nixon talking on the phone to the astronauts on the moon is just ridiculous! Got to love the NASA CGI though. Expensive CGI, for sure. I know friends that reproduce the graphics of NASA with Blender in about two hours. Oh and don't we love the images showing the ships from outside the ship? Hahaha I love your faces of , "Yeah right!" throughout this! No, we don't know this. It is a complete fabrication, just like that school picture of the layers of earth and its core. It's complete bollocks. The problem is one of relativistic science. You would need a certifiable relative source of space in order to correctly assume the size and location of any surrounding subjects. Like the internal structure of the earth, or carbon imprint, we just don't have that. Yet arrogant man with their "science" doesn't care, but would rather tell you a nice fictional story than the fact that they just don't know. It's fine for kids but if you are an adult seeker, their "facts" just don't add up to anything useful.
