@@oabh1808 In WoW case that is not entirely true, I played WoW since 2003 until 2016 and i have always been on launch and afraid to miss a thing so i dont fall off from the wagon, because if this happens then good luck with passing the gate keep, once i made a 2-3 months break if i get bored or exams in college i had very hard time to return to the game because "Link Achi or no invite" where you get into catch 22, you are ignored because your gear is bad, you need to get invited to get better gear, so you are done and you basically have to wait new expansion, i havent loged on since Legion but I bet this trend stayed in 2024..

You're hitting the nail on the head. I came back for TWW after leaving during Cata, I am digging a lot of things about it but this is exactly the community and they are responsible, in part, for the loss of culture and personality of WoW. Yes, the old game was grindy and find groups could take time...but you were forced to get to know people, and you definitely did for better or worse. You stuck close to the people you had fun with a built a community. People ran content together because sometimes the content just wasn't possible alone...even some of the quests. A lot has been done to improve the gameplay, for sure, but a lot of people just want to blast through it likes it is a race and then complain there is nothing to do. I couldn't even really experience the new dungeons the first time through cause you are just sprinting to keep up with the tank the entire time. The world is also too big now. The old content and zones have bloated it, most people will never see them. They need some new cataclysm to completely eradicate most of it or overhaul it and make like 70% of the existing world endgame content.

Everyone who plays wow is old asf, the reason everyone was friendlier and happier and experimented more and just follow best optimized meta was because everyone was younger (I do miss the days of making fun of tryhards)

I would just like to say, i gank ALL THE TIME on Stormrage in stormwind. Chauncyboi is my rogues name. I log out in the tram all the time like every day. i have an addon that tells me everyone around me so i can find the low levels.

All in all a decent video. In regards to pvp... i liked Wildstars take on the low level ganking. If a player ganks someone 10 levels lower than them they got turned into a chicken with an action button attack that did 1 damage. Something like that would be in WoW. Have it be like a 2-5min debuff. Waste the low levels time by killing them.. ok, now youre time is wasted for doing it.

To be honest it was not like that back when I started , you at least got a chance to prove yourself and only if you really missed some brain parts and was not improving at all you were removed from the group. Nowadays people require 3500 rio and 595GS for mythic 0 runs and they cry on the forums that there are no tanks and healers in this game. And this is a massive dev problem cause for some reasons nowadays healing is not enough , they added damage spells in to rotations and now every rio masturbator can point on you and being like omg you're so useless if you don't do dps as healer, its like dpsing is requiring you to have like 5 hemispheres of brains instead of 2. Same goes with tanking , you literally have to know the instance better than you know your real life job to classify as a worthy tank , else you will literally get shit on for every unnecessary pull and yet again its the dps trashing on both tanks and healers for some reason dps is like 5 heads of the game omagad look I can press 5 proc buttons that literally light up half of my screen when I need to press them oh yeah and I got a weak aura that says when I need to move out of shit how cool am I , look mom I'm better at pressing pixel numbers than these loosers :)

It isnt "killed" in the slightest, the latest raid logs showed an over 50% increase in player participation and currently in china theres over 11million logs on Ulduar WotLK classic. If anything its having a resurgence and im here for it.

The game is bloated. Each class has so many buttons, that it’s incredibly easy to struggle if you’re a newer or more casual player. This means there’s a massive delta between sweaty and casual. This causes friction for both parties. We can blame communities all we want, but really it’s a function of game design.

Agree on the bloat. You're right that it makes learning classes (especially in pvp) more difficult, although my main issue with the bloat is that it just makes classes feel boring and mechanical. If you're having to weave in numerous abilities just to do baseline dps, each individual ability feels less impactful. The new hero talents take this one step further by basically being a laundry list of passives you have to juggle to be optimal, pushing you into using auras or somesuch.

Meanwhile retail player numbers are at their highest in years, delves have given solo/casuals something to do, and the game is absolutely booming. I am all for the removal of add-ons and parsing, but it's not going to happen because the sweaty esport nerds need it, and that's who blizzard listens to. It's not going to change.

I once looking for a group with my lvl 58 char, seen few dungeon I am into, whisper inv and got no invite, they keep looking and seems not to find the lvl 60 who wants to do dungeon with them. they invited me eventually. and I simply the highest damage donator the whole dungeon. what I see is that it's not about sensitivity, it's just sucks.

@@Juhnu people are really super focused on hyper productivity for some reason , chill and relax , you are not a freaking mythic+ key pusher , just play the game and enjoy it , but as this super optimised toxic community grew, and btw most of the time this was created by guides and youtube videos , more and more people became like that until now its like every 2nd wow player thinks like he's some mythic world cup player and everything must be super optimised with necessary addons and stuff , and don't you dare have a rio less than 3000 or you are just trash , cause games are jobs now you know ? :D I'm always getting weird feelings when people whine about something being super grindy and shit , hmm , how about you don't grind then ? I mean it's not the end of the world if you don't parse 99 but 98 because you didn't farmed that item that increase your dps like 0.05% . People are so petty at proving that they actually are doing something good with their time that in this hunt they actually lost what made the games fun , it was the fact that you could play anything you want anything you can imagine off , well at least with the tools that devs gave you , and enjoy it. We didn't need weak aura to kill illidan in TBC or simulationcraft addon to pick bis stats and talents that will give me 0.5% more dps on specific boss . All of this are tools created by community not blizzard and all of this is what started the superoptimized toxic gameplay where if you don't run a specific build and a specific gear that is bis for your class on simulationcraft its done , you are claimed as a noob and no one wants to play with you , even noobs like you that don't even know what's simulationcraft are tricked in to believe that someone's bad if they don't have specific addons and stuff :)
