He wasn't angry at police, it was just another manipulation to guilt them. Dude clearly was trying to get caught. Likely because he wanted to kill again, but knew he didn't have it in him anymore, so he took it to the next stage. He knew he'd eventually get caught, anyway and didn't want to get caught as an embarrassing failure, having a heart attack on some woman's floor.

Nope. The zodiac killer commuted his murders because he just wanted to and it seemed fun to him. He also targeted mostly couples but killed both men and women alike. They didn’t do it for sexual pleasure and his victims weren’t tortured. The zodiac was never officially caught but the subject in question fit the profile like a glove. BTK however, tortured his victims in very disturbing and awful ways, just to please his sexual desires and targeted only women. BTK didn’t fit his own profile .

Surprise, surprise, the guys look totally different. Whenever some murderer is caught, everyone is like "whoa, I never expected that, he always looked so normal..."! So, what did they expect? I find it hard to believe that people still don't understand that serial killers are actual people who look and act quite normal most of the time. They are no demons from hell. They are the result of social failures.

Will never forget the time my mom and I saw him in the Walmart in Wichita before he was caught. I was only 4 or 5 but I fuzzily remember my mom feeling so terrified. My mom is the most paranoid mother (incredibly careful) on the planet and she was always scared someone would try to take me in a public place. We are walking around Walmart, I was sitting in the shopping cart seat and she began kind of weaving through the aisles a bit fast. I just remember being confused and then she told me someone was following us. My mom left her entire shopping cart with everything in it and grabbed me, pretty much booking it out of the store. This happened in 2003 I want to say... Once he was caught, my mom saw his face on the news and told me years later, it was him who stalked us that day.

That's a very interesting peek into his brand of morality. I suppose, in his mind even today, that the police being dishonest is worse than his 10+ murders. The "game" of the chase was a "gentleman's" agreement, from his perspective. He thought the rules were A, B, and C when the police only had to play by X, Y and Z. I wonder if "confessing" was his way of sticking it to them - like knocking all the pieces off the chess board.
