Love /compassion is completely different then attachment. Anakin literally explain it the Jedi Philosophy (even if he couldn't take his own advice). Love that Jedi practice from it's very inception is a symbiotic relationship that respects, cherish, protect all form life equally. Like Abe lincoln said "all men are created equal" The Jedi are the only one that practice that. The jedi are utilitarian seeking to maximize the most happiness possible. You can have friends, good friends, allies and be attached to them. With that being said they trusted Bastila Judgement, and you are making it seem a male jedi and female jedi never team up and not had sex. Attachment will always, without fail breed favoritism. you will always do just enough to satisfy that attachment. You will go above in call of duty for that attachment, but the for anyone else. Anakin proved it, and Luke prove it in Clearly in legend.

The Jedi in KOTOR come across as even more unfathomably stupid if you go for the Dark Side Route: Sticking their Ace In The Hole most potentially powerful, but still young and naive Jedi with the former Dark Lord, known for his incredible charisma and ability to sway Jedi to his side, that she is literally force bonded to, and expecting her to not fall to the Dark Side to be used against them eventually, then pikachu facing when she turns on them and they all die. 10/10 planning from the old Jedi council there.

Force sensitives, especially powerful ones, and also especially ones with strong connections are able to communicate with each other through the force over vast distances. Given their power in the force and strong attachment, it seems quite plausible that Bastila and Revan would have been able to commune through the force in a very deep degree (pretty much like a very realistic VR experience, sci-fi VR that immerses all of the senses). Edit: I read up a bit more information that was referenced in the comments section about force-bonds and force dyads. It is quite possible that Bastila and Revan formed a force dyad. This would allow them to physically interact regardless of space.

Teasing Bastila in the dialogue was one of the most fun things to do in KotOR... she was so easy to wind up and it was cute when she was. She's definitely one of the best Jedi waifus. Although personally I'm quite partial to Kira Carsen myself.

Personally I would always pick the teasing option just due to the fact that it help sell their relationship. With my Revan, he refused the name of Revan and kept the name he was given by the memory wipe but did take the Shan surname. To me he did this because he was no longer Revan, the Jedi or the Sith, and instead was a completely different person, one only achieved through Bastilla and the Crew of the Ebon Hawk.

Revan knew there was something dangerous out there. That's the reason he left even if it meant having to leave his family to protect them. He did say in the novel that he wasn't doing it for him or Bastila, but for their unborn child(Vaner). And for Vaners children and so on. When Meetra surik found him, Revan did tell her that he regretted leaving them but that it was for his son so that he didnt have to grow up knowing war. Only peace. Revan is not a deadbeat dad or husband. Doesn't sound like you've read the book, so I do encourage that you read it to know that regardless if Revan had left or not, he loved his family and would do anything to protect them from any conflict in the galaxy. If he didn't go to defeat the emperor, then its like Bastila said to her son, "we wouldn't be sitting here talking." They would most likely be dead from war. Thus Revan was a good Father and a good Husband.

This was a very quick version of Revan and Bastila. Some key facts were omitted out. One, Bastila was actually 18 when she confronted Revan, and two, other than her Battle Meditation, she wasn't all that skilled until later. Upon Learning of Bastila's gift of Battle Mediation, Darth Revan wanted to capture her so she could become his apprentice and help his crusade against the Republic. Revan's genius tactical level was so great that he learned to adapt to Bastila's Battle Mediation. Instead, he would send a task force to deal with Bastila while sending other Task Force to attack Key Republic worlds and strategic areas to gain greater control and influence. That's what led to the Ambush of Darth Revan. During the Fight, Revan wasn't taking her seriously as he wanted to capture her. Bastila's skills as a mere Padawan were no match for Darth Revan, one of the greatest duelists of his time and a powerful Force User. Malak's greed and thirst saw that come to a close as he attacked Revan's ship in hopes of killing both Revan and the Republic Task Force. After arriving on Dantooine, Revan and Bastila Force-Bond (Suspected by many fans they were a Dryad) allowed Revan to grow quickly to become a Jedi and helped increase Bastila's own skills well. As Revan's memories return (Or Visions as the Council had Revan believed), Bastila, through the Force Bond, grew stronger and more skilled, having no longer needed to use her Battle Mediation at every battle and eventually could hold her own in combat. It also made Revan return more and more and return to the Man he once was, something the Council Feared. The Bond between the two was so great, Bastila could resist Malak's influence upon her as she fell for a short period, and she could no longer deny the Bond or her ever-growing feelings of Revan. After the Destruction of the Star Forge, Bastila, who once believed in the Jedi Code that a Jedi should not have any attachments to others, for the first time, defied the Jedi Council and married Revan. The Council, well aware that Revan knew the truth, feared a second Jedi Civil War made a deal with Revan and Bastila, much to their own dismay. Believing Revan was a heretic because of his marriage to Bastila and believing he had 'corrupted' her. If Revan wouldn't spread his philosophy within the Order, the Jedi Council would 'respect' their marriage and wouldn't speak out against them. (at least within the public or open spaces)

Yeah... the only companions he took with him were Canderous and T3-M4 because he wanted his wife a kid to be safe, didn't want to impose on Mission and Zaalbaar due to them being busy with their import-export business, didn't want to involve Jolee and Juhani since they were back with the Jedi Order and HK-47 was considered a liability for the first leg of their journey since they were out to make Canderous the next Mandalore and having an assassin droid accompany you on a diplomatic mission is not a good look, even among people as tough as the Mandalorians.

They had to canonize a gender, appearance and alignment for Revan and The Exile in order to make SWtOR's plot work. Especially considering the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order is a direct descendant of Revan and Bastila and Revan himself is, in the beginning, being kept alive by the Emperor.

Once he completed a Palpatine-level Jedi Purge, Nihilus would have turned on him and he would have been annihilated, with Vitiate following soon after. Then Nihilus would probably do something stupid like getting into a fight with the Eternal Empire (starvation makes it hard to think, and the more he consumes, the bigger his black hole stomach becomes and the faster he gets hungry again), either destroying him or weakening him enough for Meetra to end him, and galactic history would be back on track. Unless Nihilus was redeemed, in which case every Sith order that popped up would have died just as quickly.

Darth Vitiate was able to mind control Jedi multiply times, and he is the one that turned Revan and Malak to the dark side. So I would guess there is some sort of dark side mind control going on here, but I agree that needs to be explained better.

So.. The plot of KOTOR Plot twist your the player an also Revan... So I'm guessing THIS is how MOST EVERY NPC in most every game comes to see the player..an unstoppable warrior or leader unbeatable, almost, in battle an depending on what alignment you play the ultimate good an hope for victory or evil an "abandon all hope" type

Just a thought comes to mind: Bastila was roughly at the same age group as Revan or Malak when the Mandalorian Wars began, and in KOTOR2 she was seen in a vision where Bastila refused to join the Revanchists because of her training. In my own headcanon he returned from Dromund-Kaas to lead mandalorians into the war against true siths, they defeated Vetiate (but not permanently) and the Galaxy lived happily for the next 300 years. There were not much mandalorians left though. Then TOR happens (everything is the same but no Revan)
