about to tackle similar issue on my 2002 2nd gen dually. I've had it for 3 years and the door quit opening same week I bought the truck. Thanks for the straight forward diagnosis

So glad you did walk through. Granted this is NOT a earth moving rig that has similar Issues sometimes 😕 but thanks for talking and sharing how to FIX a issue on a newer PU. For me personally on my 1971 SeaGrave Engine restoration. The DASH on her is fantastic. (6) Screws on the switch side for all emergency Light 🚨 And then the engine Gages. Between the looking up under her behind Dash, and removing these (6) scews, and these are BIG screws so NO worn out screw tips. 😊 I can get to ALL wires behind dash. It is actually FUN to FIX or upgrade wires behind Dash. The other on engine is how they mounted Filter under chassis. They mounted them so all I have to do is slid under front. And have total access to the THREE main engine filters. Its a joy to work on upgrading and just plan basic service hour work on fuel and oil. 😊

Reminds me of the early 2000s Chevy door handles. A pain lol was always having to adjust them.
