Are leave-in conditioners, creams, treatments, sprays or moisturizers necessary before gel styling? How do you wash your hair with what kind of surfactants? How does your hair feel after the cleanse?
Does it feel just right: moisturised or does it feel stripped to overly stripped and straw like over a long period of time? Is it really your hair's surface you're touching or are you touching hair that has been stripped entirely to feel like straw several times per month?
So that conditioners aren't really doing the job, because they're just working on the surface not tackling the issues? Do you trust those shampoos when they say they're gentle to use every day or do you choose cleansers individually to see how much you want your hair strands to be cleansed?
Grab your favourite styling products and let's define those cute coils section per section in a smoothing motion out of the shower. Or grab a tea and let's chat!

Hi, there! Took me too much time to edit part 4 of how I do my wash&go stylings! My technique is still the same, even when I use different products. As I Am Naturally truly showed me that it’s not always worth it searching for the perfect hair care lines out there. Why showing the world how you do you hair to inspire others, when big brands can just take your content and do what they want?! That’s why I’m on a serious diy hair care journey. 😤 I want to custom formulate products that I can be 💯 satisfied with.

I’m really disappointed to hear about what As I Am did to you. Having your contents stolen and used to make a profit without your knowledge is not something I foresaw this brand ever doing. Extremely disappointed in them. I love that you’re aware of the ingredients and how they affect your hair, and your commitment to researching in general. Goals! Your channel is so informative. ❤️

Thank you so much! ❤ I'm super disappointed too. Some of their products work so well and was a staple for many years. My hair was so well moisturised using their products but now I just don't want buy their things anymore. I still have their So Much Moisture Detangling Lotion at home, but every time I see it my mood sinks down to the bottom.

You made some amazing points in this video. That sucks that a company would take your content and use it without asking permission or compensation. Yes I hate the hooded dryer since relaxed 👀, so I do a very small amount under the dryer. I started using oils to fluff my hair I love it because I don’t have any perfect manicure 🤣🤣🤣. Beautiful video ❤

Thank you so much! ❤️ Yees, by the time your hair is entirely dry it’s time to shower again. I sweat too much with hooded dryers. 😂 Oh what oil? I want to know!😌😍

Excellent video! I love the close ups and your styling techniques! Very informational too. It was really interesting hearing about the MHM! I would love to hear more of your thoughts about leave-ins and over cleansing. Great video!🥰💯

Thank you!😘 I’ll do a video soon. I just need to do a bit more reading. 🥰 I experimented last summer for about 6 months and used a Clarifying Shampoo every Week. Just out of curiosity 😅. I think the only reason I didn’t have major issues, is that I was trying out multiple brands & formulations. I don’t think these types of shampoos are best when nothing non water soluble is sitting on the strands to get stripped away.

Your tiny coils are so beautiful! Have you ever tried a cream styler with hold only for your wash and go? Your hair clumps easily so it should be beautiful. Cream stylers with hold are my go-to for wash and gos.

Thank you! ❤️🥰 What’s your favourite cream stylers? In the past I wasn‘t very successful with cream stylers past 2 days. I also tend to use too much and then my hair gets super oily, but also frizzy. I’ve tried out Shea Moisture, Camille Rose Naturals & As I Am.

@@RabielleParfait I have used a few cream stylers but my favorite cream styler with hold is African Pride Moisture Miracle Moisturize and Define Curling Cream. My wash and go lasts 7 - 14 days and my hair is not oily because I use just enough to coat my strands.

Wow, I’m so sorry As I Am stole your content involving your minor son and refused to compensate you. How unethical😤! I can’t stand thieves and bullies. I always enjoy your videos. I’m still trying to figure out what my combination hair will thrive on. I don’t subscribe to the hair typing system. It’s a really interesting and sometimes frustrating journey. But that’s how the ebb and flow of learning goes.

Thank you! You said it all, it sometimes a really interesting and sometimes a frustrating journey. But we all learn as we go and I’m sure the generations after us will have it easy because we’re are providing to the education of afro hair. 🥰 What is combination hair?

@@RabielleParfait combination hair meaning the hair on my crown and nape curls with just water, while the hair above the nape and my sides and the hair above the nape is totally different. I should have said different textures as opposed to combination. My nape and crown hair is more fragile too.

I'm sorry that as I am did that to you, it makes me so MAD that corporations can steal your VIDEO with NO repercussions. Run my girl her check as I am.... Wtf

Exactly!! 💯 And they obviously loved the high quality shots I did that can be put up their website for ads. No editing needed because it was already done in Adobe Premiere. What makes me especially mad is that I live in Germany with all sorts of national & transnational EU copyright regulations. I even stopped using the common music audio library of Tiktok & Instagram. Since I’m an influencer and not a private account, I’m officially treated like a company. No matter if I make videos about personal hauls, diy or branded content. And I’m registered as a company to be able to do collabs with brands. That’s why I started using Epidemic Sound, so I won’t live under the possible stroke of copyright claims. It sucks not to be able to use viral audio music to reach my audiences. But they simply don’t care and just act as they wish using children’s faces without permission.
