Grab your favourite shampoo be it commercial, be it completely plant based and let's chat about different types of shampoos, you're maybe missing in your hair care or possibly using 'wrong'. I truly find it unfortunate that most of us in the natural hair community aren’t doing more research anymore or at least using youtube search to find free educational videos. There are so many creators educating on this including black naturals, but I guess they aren’t seen enough because it’s not trending or the mindset of what we’ve been buying & using hasn’t made it properly into our minds yet. We can’t just demonise shampoos without even knowing what it truly is. I was especially fascinated about the Indian origins, since some naturals have decided to talk everything bad about natural cleansing alternatives people still use until this day.♥️

I use a sulfate shampoo and a sulfate-free moisturizing shampoo every two weeks. I do cream only wash and gos mostly and mousse occasionally so I need the sulfate shampoo to clean my hair. I use the same sulfate shampoo I used back when my hair was relaxed. I have been natural since March 2019. I have 4A/3C curl pattern based on the hair chart, fine to medium strands, and silky surface texture. I get long-lasting curl definition and elongation using a cream. I don't like gels.

Thanks for sharing and wonderful you’ve found what works for you & cleanses your hair really well. ♥️You don’t really need a sulfate shampoo to cleanse cream based products from your hair. A regular sulfate free shampoo can do the job too, but if it works for you, it works and there’s no need to change. 🥰

@@miniminott48 Again thank you for sharing your observations, but I can't talk about what I don't know and haven't read about. My scalp and hair can't handle sulfate shampoos on a regular basis, just like other people too, because they're strong surfactants and I'm happy with the alternatives. So every body to it's own and this video was mainly about shampoo types. Shampoo types, which can happen to be sulfate & sulfate free. This is basic hair information. I can rock 7 days of curls and beyond with sulfate free alternatives & styling products that give hold and I've got 4b/4c curls.❤
