The end of the year 2023 is approaching and let's get a long chat down on how I like to do my clumped curly hair care! This is not a hair care video about specific hair care products but it's about techniques and step by step approaches that I've learned throughout the years with the Max Hydration Method first.
What made this hair care method so popular? What brought it down? Are there similarities to recent hydration talks and tight curly wash&go movements? Grab your Christmas cookies, tea & coffee and let me talk you through the basics and how I tweaked this method to my own likings.
You could follow up with these:

This was very interesting, I like that she explained each step. I want to start checking my hair like you suggested product free 👀. Yes air drying would be so hard especially during winter months. Yes there is so much to learn about our hair. I am just doing and testing what works for my hair

Yes, you’ll be surprised how your hair changes over time when you document it product free, especially with increasing length! It will also give you special awareness on how your hair dries and feels after using certain hair care products. When you air dried product free hair flakes, you know something didn’t do well ☺️

I've been searching and looking for a content creator with the same hair texture as mine and I finally found it. I love ur videos so much & I appreciate the tips u give us. My hair wasn't in this spiral coily condition until recently I went to a natural hair salon. I will use ur videos as a guide as I start to better care for my coils.

Long time no see! It’s good to learn so much more about the hair. There’s so much misinformation going around and the best thing is to listen to your hair and treat it according to its needs. Thank you for sharing this video.

Exactly! Listen to the hair and accepting it can’t do everything we want it to do like our other curls friends and hair idols especially. 🥰

You go girl!!! what a informative video....I never jumped on that trend of the AVC/Baking soda, whew so glad I dodged that bullet but so many didn't and I feel bad for them ...

Thank you so much! ❤️ Exactly that’s why I’ve been talking about it because people are still out there doing the baking soda/acv rinses without realising it could be damaging the way they did it. Nobody warned me when I did the mhm for the first time. The mhm rather played it down, but we should have known it better. I got terrified after reading about white people’s hair being damaged with the no poo method of cleansing with baking soda and conditioning with acv rinses. And luckily jumped back to mild shampoos.

Did the MHM once many years ago for 5 whole days. Repeated the process ever since once a month. Changed my life ! And actually helped my hair retain moisture and define my 4c coils

Wow! 🤩 It totally changed my life too. The MHM was the only reason I even did the second big chop. My first big chop adventure was a failure because I did not understand enough about afro textured hair (I used to comb it dry with grease or pink/ors lotion😅) those wash&gos we saw loose afro texture haired women did was an unsolved puzzle and access to products was a nightmare in the 2009/10s 😩

Happy December! I wasn’t as consistent with my video uploads as I wished, sorry for that but here we go. I think it’s very important to finally make a long video chat about my wash&go routine to close my ‘how to’ chapters. I don’t want to bore you with same style wash&go videos all the time. Now here’s everything I do that I haven’t really explained in depth detail, but have found to be important, especially because some folks have been accusing me for using the 30 Day Hair Detox routine to make my hair styling videos on social media to make profits. 😅 Let’s discuss my gel + gel & gel + mousse experiences without leave-in conditioners in a different video. It may be completely new for many, but Dubaidee4c, a mhm follower who started a different approach with shampoos & no (leave-in) conditioners also made some impact. She used to call her routine the DD4C (Detox Diet 4 Curls/Coils) 😉. Her blog is still out there with her before and afters of different tight curly hair types. Her blog and pictures are the prototype of today’s professional tight curly hair pages I see on social media today (Just my personal view). Because her blog was also the first to showcase so many tight curly hair textures in a clumped way in the internet with before and afters (along the mhm pages). To me it’s really amazing and she wasn’t a licensed professional at that time. 😉

Have you ever tried a wash and go with a cream with hold only considering how easily your curls clump? A cream with hold is my preferred wash and go product.

What would you suggest? I could try it out ☺️ I’m experimenting with the diy gels and have added more oils and creams to the formulation. I now finally see why many prefer curling creams! ❤️

@@RabielleParfait African Pride Moisture Miracle Shea Butter and Flaxseed Oil Moisturize & Define Curling Cream. I use it with or without a leave in conditioner for my wash and gos and twists. It has medium hold. My hair loves it. My wash and gos last between 7 to 14 days. I usually wash my hair between 7 to 10 days for wash and gos though. I don't use gels.

I was very close to question my entire hair care, giving it up and travelling abroad just to see hair stylists doing their method including recommended product list! I’m glad I didn’t. The thing is also, they would have talked me out of using henna and clay masks 🫣 I could not. ❤️
