I needed this so much. I was broken yesterday. The last of my family has turned against me because, as a Christian, I refuse to hate others in the family they hate. I refuse to choose some in my family over others. I want to love my whole family. But my family wants me to choose, and because I did not, I lost them all. They ALL turned on me. The last piece of fleshly heart I have left has been broken completely. But it doesn’t matter. They can cut me off, but I must live so Christ does not cut me off. I must abide in Christ. The only father I need is my Father in Heaven. I must abide in Christ and carry on. I’m done with this world, I’m done with my life - now I just have Christ - and He is all I need.

They were so outraged and upset that I would even do that. I have no support over most decisions I do that’s only based off of following God and what’s written in His Word. Im fighting against culture, the world, myself, the devil etc… I fail a lot too which is frustrating I struggle with my emotions if I get too overwhelmingly upset I break something that’s mine. Beautiful Testimony and I bet you have ears to hear him now 😉❣️ Praise God for how His Word of Truth comes to life once He moves within our hearts and minds, through being born from Above (born again) and His Spirit of Truth... "In reply Jesus declared, I tell you the Truth, no one can see the Kingdom of God, unless they are born from above." John 3:3 (some translations: born again) "So from now on, we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come ❣️" 2 Corinthians 5:16-17

Why is this place not packed out with standing room only? I don’t understand? I would walk miles to a church for preaching like this! This man is preaching truth and life and the place is half empty. Even so, the Pastor is giving his best to those few who are there. I’m embarrassed for him that so few turn up for this type of preaching. I go to a pathetic “Pentecostal church” with all the gimmicks and nonsense to supposedly satisfy us until the following Sunday. How pathetic is that?! I would love to find a church that preaches the way that this man does. It’s abundantly obvious that he spends a lot of time in the bible and no doubt prayer. Many thanks for uploading this.

@@mariandanila9126 you mean to tell me I can’t cry out upon the name of God? I was lamenting to someone in pastoral authority over me that I was struggling to read scripture daily and his counsel to me was “God doesn’t care if you read your Bible daily or not.” Those were some of the most damaging words my literal brain could have heard and resulted in a life that neglected God’s word. I have struggled as a believer to rid myself of my flesh and selfish desires and not seeing the fruit of the Spirit as evidence of my salvation. 30 years later I am learning that my mind and sin nature are transformed by the reading of scripture. 30 wasted years. How I wish I heard this message 30 years ago.

I have have started to listen to this upload several times, maybe even listened to the whole thing once, but it consistently keeps showing up on my feed. So today I thought I'd listen to the whole thing (whether again I'm not sure), I am a substance abuser, (idolater) self gratifier (fornicator/adulterer) and I hide it (false witness), which is all founded on pride because I believe I can fix all this. I needed to hear this today because my assurance has all but gone, I see only a tare that must remain til the harvest lest my removal harm the wheat (an inverted pride mindset). Every day is a constant circle of, "I'll do better today Lord," or, "Today is 'my' new beginning to honour Your name Lord." It never gets better, it always ends in failure, the small victories are void through lack of progress, can't even end it all because of the tare directive (and it's murder). I needed to hear this today because 'there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey'. Is it really that simple? How do I lay this beast to rest? The spirit is willing but the flesh is always weak. On the surface I appear ok. I read my bible a lot, I even play it in my ear when I sleep. I study the word, I write journals, I attend church, attend Celebrate Recovery, I watch copious KZbin preachers, Washer, Macarthur, Conway, Ravenhill, Wiersbe, Baucham. All my other BS flows from my methadone programme, its like a foundation for lascivious blasphemies that pour out like a river of sewage, I disgust myself, yet I dare not publicly declare God's mercy as insufficient for a devil like me. Yet I know if I do not repent of my idolatry I will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Please somebody, if compelled by God to do so, pray that I may be granted the gift of repentance (real repentance) that in God's mercy I may be allowed to bring glory to God, to show His saving grace to the lost such as I, if it possible. I'm about to turn 47, I just got married, I owe it to God and to my wife, to turn this ship around with Christ at the helm.

In Christ you are no longer seen as a sinner, your sins are remembered no longer by the Lord. In john and collosians it tells us to be confident in our faith with him. It is clear that you are not pleased in your flesh, diligently seek the Lord and you will be delivered from the foothold sin has on you. Understand Gods love for you and how deep it goes. Take isaiah 66:2 to heart " But to this one I will look, To him who is humble, contrite of spirit and trembles at my word." God bless brother!

Your saying stop obeying commands of God?? What about Jesus saying if you keep them you love me? And what about Jesus saying whosoever breaks the least of these commands and teaches men to do so shall be called least in the kingdom but whoever does and teaches men to do so shall be called great? We can't keep them perfectly but we are to obey and repent and live to keep his word...that's very dangerous to say that and heresy actually...to say stop being obedient???

When Mr. Washer started to say, " ... Don't do it I the arm of the flesh! The more you cut yourself off from the help of men, the more you will have the help of God! The more you make pronouncements to men, so that you may gather their strength for you, the less you will see God." (He started to say this around 1:12:58 in the video.) When he said this, I thought of Jeremiah 17:5-8, which says, " Thus says the LORD: Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the LORD. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit." Also, for anyone who may have read this, here are a few more Bible references about trusting in the LORD and meditating on the Word (if you're curious - I would suggest to read them in order... God bless! And God bless us in our walk of faith! 😊 ♡) : • Psalm 1:1-4 • Proverbs 16:20 • Proverbs 3:5-8 • Proverbs 28:26

I'm weeping and thankful for this message- I'm at a point similar to where you were at...a major breakdown. I agree Bible knowledge can only take one just so far- we NEED the assurance of God's never-ending love for us! This message SO speaks to me. After believing on Christ in 1979 and the 41 yrs since I still feel unsaved at times. I'm more aware than ever how far short I fall. I want the joy and assurance I had a long time ago... it ebbs and wanes with the increasingly stormy seas. I'm not in known, obvious sin, but a depression comes and goes. I see no fruit, I tend to stay alone too much (its painful "out there" I always get hurt when I do venture out... ) Lord help me overcome and be a good witness! All prayers appreciated!

Praying for you, Carla. "For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. For I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry; for the spirit would grow faint before me, and the breath of life that I made. Because of the iniquity of his unjust gain I was angry, I struck him; I hid my face and was angry, but he went on backsliding in the way of his own heart. I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and his mourners, creating the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to the far and to the near,” says the LORD, “and I will heal him." Isaiah 57:15-19

My heart is rejoicing, filled with joy knowing that God loves me so much. This sermon was such a blessing and I found it at the right time. I had just read John Chapter 15 yesterday and I wrote it in my book cos I really felt very emotional reading it and told myself to look back at it as a reminder in this new journey of mine as a new creation in Christ. And can you believe what God showed me today? This sermon! I had kept this window opened but was browsing all other videos out there and happened to close my day without watching it but simply adding it to the 'watch later' list that I have. But I happened to browse through the comments and something told me to watch the sermon before going to bed and here I'm at 3:20 AM writing this comment as a testimony. Jesus loves me so much not only did He provide His Word but then helped me with this teacher of dear Paul Washer and made my faith even stronger. Brother Paul addressed the exact issues I've been suffering from the need to prove my worth, I think that's been my weakness ever since I was a child. The need to please everyone and do everything I can to be worthy of other people's love. I carried that attitude with God and I wanted a special place and I wanted to be that special, chosen person who God loves a little bit more, like a teeny bit more even when I knew I was being silly. And I always thought I was saved cos I have to serve God, I have a bigger purpose for which God saved me, to work for Him. But who are we to work for Him when all of this creation, earth and the heavens exist because of Him and for Him. I learned and understood a lot of these things from this sermon. It was totally God's love that guided me here. I will walk now in my journey full of joy and knowing that I'm being loved in Christ. Through the overflowing of that love and joy may God empower me to return some of that. May God bless you, the person who uploaded the sermon, the people who wrote those encouraging comments and finally dear Paul Washer for being such a powerful yet humble preacher. Thank you and love you all.

Two years ago when I came to Christ I knew nothing but leaped into the faith, blind. I am Catholic and prayed the rosary every day with intention...that opened such a beautiful door for me and God started working on me and giving me direction. I came across the teachings of David Pawson and learned the Gospel like I never thought I could. I'm still learning. I was Baptized last year and it was such a fulfilling and beautiful experience to receive and profess my faith. God has healed me from childhood trauma, he has restored broken relationships, and has saved my soul. Only he could restore me. I struggle a bit now in my Christian walk because I don't relate to the world and it's darkness. But, I walk every day in faith and pray that God keeps guiding me. May God bless us and those that are spreading the Gosple relentlessly

I could never thank God enough for that! Let's pray for our brothers and sisters still trapped in the word of faith, prosperity gospel, as well as the new age movement circus.

THE SERMON TO END ALL SERMONS. The necessity of reading the Bible. The necessity of prayer and fasting. How to view Christ and the love of God. Thank you Paul Washer. For me personally, I think the point about performance might have saved my life. I am currently so mentally and emotionally dead and yet now is where all I ever think about is Christ. And I ask myself, God knows that I am not conciously drawn to anything in my life that distracts me from Him. By His grace I've put away sexual immorality of every kind (although I keep having vile sexual dreams, please pray or me, my name is Arian and I live in Germany), I've deleted instagram and youtube. I have disenvolved myself from so many earthly things and I am just so desperate to advance His kingdom, but more just to know this Jesus. Just to love him. But i feel here is no love in me. I feel so empty in all aspects. I know he sees me and my prayers for changed will be answered according to His will, but sometimes it can be useful just to lay these things on the table. Actually I now realize it is pride speaking. I think I am the ''perfect candidate'' for the motivating power of the Holy Spirit. But in fact I might be the worst, because of how lustful I am of it. My opinion: God knows how the brain works. The main way the reward circuit works, is that we take a course of thought or action, and when something good happens, those courses of actions remain as ''the Way to the reward''. So if we keep striving for the abundace of His grace and He gives it to us, we will be programmed to think that the more we strive, the more grace we will aquire and Jesus starts fading out of the picture. When in fact we simply need to realize that Gods will for our Faith is so simple and eternal: obedience and trust. Also, I think striving is an easy way to dodge the seeking of knowledge and understanding which last longer. I've finally allowed myself to sit back and believe that God loves me no matter what and now I feel even more motivated to read my Bible. amazing.

“If you obey my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. You are my friends if you do what I command you. This I command you - to love one another.” ‭‭John‬ ‭15:10, 14, 17‬ “No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God resides in us, and his love is perfected in us.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:12‬ “For the whole law can be summed up in a single commandment, namely, “ You must love your neighbor as yourself.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:14‬ Dont look to define the bible (going to theologians for how to abide), the bible defines itself, actually in the same verse: love one another. We do not maintain our salvation by works, but by grace are empowered to do good works which is love God with your whole being, and the second (just as important as the first according to Jesus) is love your neighbor as yourself. That is His commandment and sums up the whole law. You can know the whole bible, which is a good thing by the way but if you don’t have LOVE then its for nothing. “And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:2‬ Even satan knew the word, but that is not the end all be all, we are on this earth to show the love of Jesus and we are known by this fruit. And we can do that because He first loved us and in spending time with Him we take on that identity and live out of love. We abide in Him by loving Him and one another. Love comes before obedience since obedience comes from love; we can be obedient without love like the pharisees and bear no fruit and live without joy and not make anyone want to be a Christian, or we can provoke to jealousy since Jesus’s disciples are known by their fruit, LOVE. One who loves obeys not out of obligation but out of appreciation and now has reward as well and also bears fruit which brings people to Christ. If love isn’t at the centre of this sermon then somethings wrong. All love to Paul Washer but we can’t obey our way into heaven. Also love one another since that is what obeying His commandments means ✌️

And the word says "Love is the fulfilment of the law". Why? Because (as it also says in the word) "Love worketh no ill to his neighbor". So if you love your neighbor you will SHOW IT in deed automatically, you will not "covet thy neighbors possessions" you will not "kill" them (thou shalt not kill), you won't sleep with their wife or husband (thou shalt not commit adultery). Thats how love fulfils the law. It's not saying you love everybody and giving to the poor to make it seem as such. Paul said "thou I give my body to be burned, if I have not love it profiteth me nothing". You can give to someone so much but if you sleep with their wife that's an I'll you work against them and that's not love. So no matter what you do if you don't "love God with all thy heart, mind, and soul" (which is the greatest commandment), saying you love everybody means nothing. True love for God brings about obedience to his word. that's how you fulfil the law with love. So my friend, you are very wrong saying you don't obey God to show love. Love is an action word.

Paul, Every time you post a sermon, and I listen to it fully without distraction, a nagging question I’ve had gets answered. It seems as though every time I feel as if I have taken a giant leap forward, I get swamped with more problems. I didn’t understand why till today when you explained that the only reason this happens is G-D wants us to completely rely upon HIM not ourselves. He is REALLY trying to teach me this lesson and I finally get it! How hard headed has this child of G-D been? Thank you Brother and never ever give up! I need you!

After 15 years I made a vital breakthrough in defeating L yesterday. I prayed the deamon out and evicted him from my tabernacle (body) and invited the Holy Spirit in and to occupy every room, landing, staircase, utility space, hallway and shed... EVERYWHERE I open up to and invite him in. So He' now IN. He is the key player on the field, the full back. The defender. Then I have resolved to keep a dialogue going with Him all the time especially if I feel a trigger coming on... and get loud about it. I acknowledge that I depend on Him for victory. Keep talking to Him (pray always). Then I surveyed my 63 year old career of sin and acknowledged that the only way I could stand before God without wrinkle or spot was to visualise ALL my sin being heaped upon innocent Jesus and He being executed for me. It sounds so wrong that it should be so but is there another way? NO !!! Jesus is the striker, the one whe gave me back my life. So onward we go. In this war I have staged a comeback and I am going to win. In Jesus name I am going to win. In His name I have been washed clean of my filth. I start another day bringing Jesus everywhere I go. Thank you Lord God. Thank you Jesus. I was drowning. Thank you Jesus.
