How To Achieve Perfect Hospital Corners | Linen House

HOW TO ACHIEVE PERFECT HOSPITAL-BED CORNERS 8 SUPER-EASY STEPS
1. Lay your sheet over a mattress and ensure the overhang is equal on each side.
2. Tuck your sheet at the foot of your bed under the mattress.
3. Place the bottom corner of your sheet on top of the mattress to form a 45° angle.
4. Tuck any overhang into the mattress.
5. Pull the remainder of your fabric down and tuck it into the mattress.
6. Repeat on the opposite corner.
7. Fold your mattress header back and tuck it in tight on both sides.
8. Enjoy getting into this bad boy!
Some Further Tips:
• Use medium tension when tucking your sheets in.
• Ensure you smooth-out wrinkles and creases as you go.
• Practice makes perfect - if you don’t get it perfect the first time around, give it another shot!

Probably because It’s impossible the way she’s doing it☺️ There’s supposed to be an angle in that folded section. The point in the video where the text says, “pull the remainder of the fabric down,” that folded section is supposed to be at an angle (like a forward slash / not parallel with the end of the bed - if that makes sense. That’s what’s making it hard for everyone.

Perhaps a dumb question... but as the saying goes... there is no such thing as a dumb question ;-) If your mattress is very thick and heavy, such as the mattress in your video, the heavy weight of mattress should very firmly anchor down the bottom and left/right sides of the sheet at the corners after you neatly tuck both sheet sides at both bottom corners without needing to first lift the bottom corners up onto the mattress to form a 45-degree angle. It seems like the additional 45-degree angle step is only needed for a thin (e.g. 6-inch thick) mattress?

It's probably because of the stereotype this brings to mind, for a lot of people it conjures up female nurses from the world war 2 era, who took pride in their tight sheet tucking skills, like my grandmother and her friends did and still do. It's been stereotyped to be a single gender think over the decades, which is silly. As a guy, i do love nice neat sheets
