When you ACTUALLY want to help, it's the actual charisma. When people try to fake it, it goes wrong. I can easily tell when somebody is trying to look authentic, or he's actually authentic. It's not something to be fakes. If you don't want to help people in your video and you are thinking of your own benefit, it gets manifested in everything. Your final point is the true key to charisma. Thanks for sharing your insight with us.

charisma doesn’t come naturally to me, so I pay close attention to charismatic people, and i reckon there’s an extra one: They are willing to take social risks. eg teasing someone (within reason) or saying something a bit dark or rude. the people who speak as if they are perfect angels are often met with suspicion, and it’s reassuring when someone is the first to admit that they aren’t a saint. Casey Neistat doesn’t come across as a bad person, but he’s not “nice” either. There’s a brash confidence that I think often signals confidence. “This is me, I’m honest and if you don’t like it, that’s ok”
@thejayalto4 ай бұрын
Brash confidence is spot on. Certainly something magnet about it.

I also think a big part of beeing charismatic is to be authentic, and be confident about who you really are. I can´t describe it but people feel that, and then they will want to talk to you.

When you mentioned presence I immediately thought about "The Way of The Superior Man" by David Deida. Though being aimed at relationships, the idea of presence was really one of the main take aways I had from the book. I would to see you involve some wisdom from it in a future video. Outstanding execution as always Jay, you are pathing a new way.

Hi Jay, thanks for another video. you always come across with a steady hand at the rudder, steering the ship through the course of your video, which gives you a uniquely calm charisma. Hello Jay! I've been watching a-lot of your videos for some time now, and you've actually been one of the people that's inspired me to create my own styled video essays. And since you've made a video about predictions in 2024, I have some questions I'd want your opinion on! What do you think about KZbin and its creators nowadays? do some youtube channels feel fored and unauthentic? are authentic creators being erased and forced algorithms and strict ideas are taking over? Do you think this also has to do it with the fact that so many creators are leaving?
@thejayalto4 ай бұрын
Yes. Not erased but viewers preferences are changing. People quit because of either; Time (they've just been doing it for so long and it doesn't challenge them anymore) or they let the algorithm become their boss and that sucks.
