Awesome discussion! Thanks Dave and Justin. AJ Sims is my Coach. You're right, he knows how to shred. Last year I came in the leanest I've ever been. 4.9-5.1% given the several scans and calipers. I suffered but he kept me fed all the way into my show where I won Masters Classic and Bodybuilding. Judges told me I was the leanest guy at the show at 45yo. The rebound has been highly successful to and follows your rule of adding clean food while not getting fat. I'm up 25lbs from stage weight but still very lean with good insulin sensitivity. It feels great to have a solid plan to execute for progress.

Something I see a lot is bodybuilders are under eating fats, and protein. Everyone that I have seen put on rapid amounts of muscle all did it on high fat diets, with lots of protein. Look at the Sam Sulek kid recently he was eating around 200g of fats a day and he blew up. The dairy wasnt the best idea because that gave him cystic acne. But if you used Sunflower Seeds, or some other form of PUFA fats. Some Olive oil here or there your going to gain really well. New bodybuilders are way too obsessed with white rice, and nutrient non-existent carbs to grow and wonder why they arent growing well. All the old pros were eating cups of veggies and brown rice and potatoes to grow with tablespoons of olive oil in each meal and grew amazingly. Look at the diets for all the older pros they all focused on fats when they started.

I think insuline replacement at older age makes sense n sounds great. As we get sarcopenia n less nutrient uptake to the cells. But dave, if you only use it to reduce the insuline spike from the carbs you eat, why not use 500-1000mcg chromium with every meal? Saw your multi contained 200mcg for 10 tabs, this is way to low dose for any good insuline regulation.. even if you took 10 tabs with every meal
