Just got mine. The instructions inside sucked, so I'm glad I found this video. Straightforward, no-nonsense guide here. Worked perfectly. I'm up & running in no time. Thanks!

I'm new to Mesh systems. Renting a couple from my Internet Service Provider and I'm all hooked up. We just finished our basement and consider it a must to add an extender there since my ISP Internet speed is .....let's say....way less than steller, pretty lousy to tell you the truth. So if hook up is as easy as it depicts in this video, I would have done the best I could for getting a signal down there. We are waiting on Fiber, but I'm located in a rural area, so we'll be last to get Fiber. Well, thanks again. Keeping my fingers crossed for a stable signal in The Dungeon!
@KingWilliamАй бұрын
Good luck on your mesh. I have 4 of these and it works well...of course the farther away the lower the speed. Hope you get enough to watch my videos in the dungeon.

Do you need a second one of these in order to connect it to your router? Then you use the other as the extender?
@KingWilliam7 ай бұрын
1st one is the router then any additional Eeros are the extenders.

so r u saying, you can use this as a router and an extender, so dont buy the extender alone just buy this so that you can use it as both, if u are looking for an extender . correct me if i am wrong ?
@KingWilliam Жыл бұрын
This would be in addition to the router. It can function as a router or as an extender for the mesh if you already have a eero. So if you have 1 it’s a router. 2 Eros one is the router connected to the fiber media converter and then then 2nd eero extends and creates the mesh

Hi there, thanks for the video. I just received my Eero 6+ but the furthest room of the house where my PC is doesn't get full speed. Can I buy another Eero 6+ and use it as extender? I have a 1G/ps internet connection. TYI

@@silverfox97480 yes. Just plug it in and use the app to connect it to your WiFi and then you have a mesh. I have 3 connected. Around the house and garage

So the extenders selling for more than routers is a marketing gimmick, rather than a functional upgrade? So then can I use 4 routers throughout a property to act as extenders? Thanks.

That’s what I did and you get Ethernet ports too.

I'm confused. I set up my Eero 6 that replaced my Frontier router over a month ago. I bought a refurbished Eero extender (with just a power cord) & I apparently don't know what I'm doing. The title of your video says "how to add a eero extender", but your video shows the Eero wifi/router with the power cord & ethernet cable. Since my extender only has a power cord...next steps?
@KingWilliam26 күн бұрын
@@abbykeister5322 it would be the same process. Open the Eero app on your paging and turn on the extender. At the top of the app there’s a +. Click on the plus and follow the prompts. You should have the extender near the Eero the internet company gave you to set up

It won’t. Need to have a eero system to use as part of their mesh. There’s some cheap extenders on Amazon that would work with net gear equipment

If only it was that easy. I Effed around for most of an hour and 30 minutes trying to get the blue light on the second wifi router to turn blue. I was ready to return the whole package. Finally the light turned blue and I was able to get it connected to my modem. Problem now is getting my phone to connect. I have a suspicion that the extender is sending out a signal that is not being used by any of my devices. I can't figure out how to tell. The eero app must have been updated as well since this video was made because I couldn't follow the instructions as shown in the video. The paper instructions included with the unit were worse than useless.

The extenders don't have ethernet ports. The router does, which i recommend over the extenders. Cheaper and can be used for the mesh. The port is great to hard wire devices that don't have WiFi.

Great Video. Question....would you recommend THIS vs. an extender to try and add internet to our detached Pole Barn? We know it's going to be easy, but for $50, the cost is minimal vs. potentially having to add SEPARATE Wifi service (a 2nd service) to our Pole Barn).
@KingWilliam8 ай бұрын
If you already have eeros you could give it a try. Depends on how far away the building is from the mesh. If it doesn’t work look at getting a wireless bridge and connecting back
@Anthony-zl1zu8 ай бұрын
how much mbps does it support?
@KingWilliam8 ай бұрын
The extenders in the video do up to 350mbs. Of course that depends on lots of factors. Most likely you’ll get ~100mbs. Depends on how far away and if there’s interference or objects blocking the signal path
