One could also desaturate the colors slightly to make it more realistic. Maybe add a slight glare/glow, and increase it for dark shots. Actually, you're going to want it casting its own light for dark shots. For an older set, one might want to add in some distortions and noise. There are effects included just for that.

Love your videos, but this microphone is extremely pop-py. I literally couldn’t listen to this with headphones.
