This video does a good job of covering the enormous void in the Voyager 2 video - the Voyager video doesn't show how to adjust the right stop. This video, while it does show how to adjust the right stop could be better if it were more clear. For example - tell me that you have to pull the entire head out and re-seat it. I was only pulling it out slightly and the teeth would catch on the external cylinder and mess me "all up". I've sure spent a lot of time on this today but if it weren't for this video I'd still be trying to figure it out. So thanks for this one!

What about troubleshooting? Some turn to the right but don't go back. I had this model for a few years and it happens often. Any solutions or do I replace the heads each time this happens?

There is a third slot in the green rubber top, what is that slot used for? I believe this video overlooks it

That slot is used to pull up the riser so you can change the nozzle without turning on the water.

You showed the two adjustments, distance and span. There seem to be third opening on the head as well. What is that for?

The third opening (which looks like a circle with a notch on either side) is used to pull the sprinkler up. To do this, insert the plastic end of the key and turn it 90 degrees. That should 'lock in' so you'll be able pull up the sprinkler head. Besides this, the opening serves no other function.

I would think if you pull it out of the ground you could get dirt into the sprinkler head.If you can adjust using the wrench, then why would you have to pull it out of the ground?

Does the green cover come off? The set screw is clogged so I can’t get the wrench in to adjust it

The green cap is not meant to come off. If the top portion is clogged a paper clip is usually narrow enough to remove the debris.

Another bad design, have the screw exposed so you can atleast see it to clean or have a screw driver slot. After you adjust the sprinklers afew times the set screw clogs

Really poor product development choice to require a proprietary “key”. I’m switching from orbit to rainbird because of this. I’d be curious to know how this decision impacted top-line sales and market share for its category - and if the product manager responsible is still employed by Orbit.

Hunter uses the same thing. I switched from them to Rainbird, but still have spotty coverage. I'll try Orbit Voyager II and see if I can dial it in with all the extra nozzles they include.

Stuart, we do not sell the Saturn with a step spike already installed, mainly because the Saturn is generally designed specifically for use as part of an underground irrigation system. We do, however, sell other hose-friendly, gear-drive sprinklers with a step spike included. One example of this is the Orbit 58573N.

It's just to assist in pulling the head out of the socket if needed, with the plastic part of the key. No adjustment in that hole.

The teeth do not keep the sprinkler head/arrow from spinning, maybe when new, but making small right adjustments is a pain. I’ve fought with the ones I’ve installed, returned the unopened ones and am switching brands to finish the job. Ridiculous design!
