thanks for the video. took me a while to realize you were showing backwards. once I figured out to look down at it, set my right starting point, when +/- till desired stops. my question is, can other heads be installed in the Saturn III version 2 body? I purchased the in ground 2 zone kit and 2 sprinklers in a zone have been adjusted down as far as they can and still cover about 2' of my neighbors grass. id rather not dig up and install a whole new sprinkler to the line if I can just replace the sprayer into the same body. thanks

This video does make the adjustment seem simple. The hard part is seating the sprinkler head in the barrel so the your (thumbnailed) right alignment is correct. And woe betide you if it is off. Might as well cancel your weekend plans

I adjusted the diffuser to a small bigger stream accidentally. I can’t get it to go back to a thinner longer steam😐 Also 3 of my heads won’t pop after testing it out the second time. Struggling, any tips would help! My water pressure is 45. Thank you in advance. 🙏🏼

I adjusted mine today by just turning the top to the right, holding in place with 2 fingers and adjusting, can this harm it?? All of my first 6 went perfect. 18 more to go, I got tired of unscrewing and or pulling it up and holding. I got to thinking, why wouldnt it work and it did. I havnt tried it with then buried yet tho, could be different story lol Thanks for teaching!!!!

I have purchased this item but am having difficulty. Everything is good up to adjusting the pattern. Despite how far in either direction i turn the pattern (larger) screw, the item continues to turn 360. I need it to be 180. Any help is apreciated

Is it possible to set one of these to less than the minimum distance printed on the label? I only need about 7-8 feet, not 15.

Sorry, but this isn't possible. to get that distance the pressure would have to be less than is necessary to push the sprinkler up.

I was able to do that by screwing the silver screw all the way down with the Saturn III 1/2" head. Also do you have the Saturn III Nozzle Red, Blue & Green Sets?

Thanks for the video. I tried to follow your instructions but my gear drive orbit sprinkler head stays in 360 degree range!!! I tried going clockwise I heard a click and then I tried going counter clockwise to adjust the radius but it stays 360 range!!! What I am doing wrong? Any help would be much appreciated

Great video. I just wish the Orbit Saturn III came with a Red, Blue & Green nozzles sets, or could be purchased local.. I had to order the nozzles sets being the heads only come with the Black nozzle.

I just purchased 4 of these to replace some old sprinklers. They are spaced out a bit too much and I need more diatance out of them, 10-15 more feet if possible. 2 questions... Do you make a longer range tips/nozzles for these? I believe it came with the green tips. If i need to purchase different sprinklers (which i dont mind doing), does orbit make a long range sprinkler with the 1/2 inlet? So I can screw them into place where these are. Thanks!

Hello, unfortunately, you're not likely to get that distance more out of these. You'd need to step up to the Voyager II sprinkler, which is longer range. We make other nozzles for these but they usually won't provide further distance, just more flow. the Voyager II is 3/4" inlet, so you will need to use an adapter riser, such as this one: www.orbitonline.com/products/sprinkler-systems/accessories/accessories/extension-adapter/12-x-34-male-threaded-poly-adapter-161

It would be nice if they have instructions (with out having to rip the label) with the sprinkler to turn it clockwise to the set position and then start the adjustment. Would save a lot of time, wet pants, shoes, windows, fences, etc. Why do they want to make a simple thing so complicated?

Water is coming up through the black casing while the sprinkler head is running. How do you fix this?

There should be a little water running because this sprinkler is self lubricating with water to keep it rotating well. If it is a significant amount, this may represent a crack to the housing or damage to the internals. A guy put these in for me 10 years ago, he moved away so I have to learn about them. I couldn’t find them so I had to turn them on and go to each one and dig around them. I can’t believe that in ten years these heads were 2 to 3 inches under the ground. I find it hard to believe that in ten years I have 2 to 3 inches of new top soil in my yard.

it's not recommended because in adjustments there are gears and stops moving. While in operation it's possible the gears could be moving in an opposite direction and this could cause damage.

If you unscrew the diffuser screw too much, you then risk losing the nozzle, because that is what is holding the nozzle.

wrong advice. turning the direction screw has to be turned more that just 1/4 or 1/2 turn; hove to keep turning it to get it to rotate.

I have spent 3 hours trying to adjust four new Saturn sprinklers. As far as I am concerned this were a waste of money. They do not adjust as described in this video. I watched this video several times and without any luck. The people who are leaving positive reviews must be pro installer's or work for orbit. In my opinion just are not worth the effort.
