You saved my life and I followed the instruction to make it higher to avoid the beater touching the edge of bowl. Great thanks!

Thanks, this was very helpful. Had to turn the screw nearly two turns on my brand new one.

My tilt-head was scraping too much so I turned the screw to the right to bring it up a bit. Moved the dime just like your illustration. Left brings the beater closer to the bowl. So easy with a wide screwdriver. Thank you!

Right (clockwise) lowers the attachment. Left (counter clockwise) raises the attachment.

my whisk hits the sides of my bowl. is it supposed to do that? i’ve looked on youtube, and some do and some don’t. i have a K45 (1970s model)

Great simple video that helped me, my beater was running on the bowl so I turned the screw the opposite way. But it's fixed now!
@sandradanielson84246 жыл бұрын
What if the head is too low so it’s scratching the bowl? The screw in the neck is fully tight, screw pin is in, and the screw underneath when the mixer is laying on its side and you can reach up inside mixer...that one is tight too. Suggestions?

@@LisasWorld100 I had a whisk wants that was so faulty that I have to unscrew the screw out so far that it would prevent the mixer head from locking

After the mixer fell off the counter I was terrified we were going to have to replace a major appliance and EVEN WORSE, not get to make Brioche hamburger buns! However, this fixed our problem perfectly, thank you so much!

Thank you, I am so glad to see this! I was pretty upset when, after my first usage, I found dry mix at the bottom of what I though was finished dough and batter. :)
@randomweirdo1232 жыл бұрын
This happened to me too! And my rum cake turned out dense and not as good as how I’ve usually made it with the handheld mixer. Totally made me lose confidence in the stand mixer. I am going to have to try out this fix and see if adjusting the height will fix this problem

I thought the dime test is only to be done with the flat beater?
@BC9997 жыл бұрын
Does the same technique work for dough hook?
@LisasWorld1007 жыл бұрын
Yes. If the beater blade goes to the bottom then your dough hook should be good also. You may still get a small touch of flour left in the bottom but I never worry about that. Thanks for stopping by. Lisa

The only issue I see with this video is that the head will now wobble since it is loose and when doing dough...TRUST me you won't like it! The alternative is adjusting that screw for each mixing requirement (Whether it be for dough or a meringue).
@LisasWorld1004 жыл бұрын

@@LisasWorld100 Well then, my mixer must be different, cause mine wobbles if I turn it in over 1/8 of a turn. BTW Merry Christmas
@Delekham4 жыл бұрын
@@LisasWorld100 I just found out what the problem was (for me anyway). The locking lever, has a linkage going to the actual locking mechanism (kinda looks like a crescent moon with a rod attachment). Well anyway that linkage was bent, and would not allow the "Lock" to lock properly. I want to apologize for my comment, since this is a fix and I will inform you once I get all the parts necessary. BTW, Happy New Year
