As always, great video Rick. Simple instructions, you made what could be a very difficult job of adjusting the trigger on my Hatsan 95 as easy as possible.

I wish I had watched this video before messing with the adjustments on my 125. After over adjusting the trigger it took some time to get the trigger engagement reset. I seem to remember being able to watch the engagement walk with the gun out of the stock as I adjusted it. Might help to remove the possibility of over adjustment. As always, great video Rick!

I bought a used BT65 .25 cal and the pre-owner didnt know what he was doing. The trigger had no first stage, it was just one hard but short pull against the second stage. Felt like pushing against a hard spring. After I had adjusted the trigger it felt better than the T06 on my mod 48. Light and short first stage, second stage breaks smooth without any creep whatsoever. Even a quarter turn or less on the trigger weight adjustment screw can be felt very clearly. Loving the quattro trigger so far.

Great video, the combination of the weight of my 125 sniper & the heavy pull made me miss from a standing unsupported position (using the artillery hold)..i turned out the smaller screw about 3/4 of a turn..and the middle one about the same amount and now i can level the rifle and hit things before my arm starts to fatigue. Thanks!

Great video!! just a quick question if I may. The Hatsan 900x I have just bought, there seems to be only one small screw not the 2 larger screws. I find the trigger action a little "heavy" would this small screw adjust the tension as shown in this demo? Would appreciate your feedback. Many thanks.

I’ve got a question and can never get Hatsan on the phone. I have a hatsan 130 QE with the vortex system. It’s always shot fine. One day I had a groundhog I was gonna dispatch so cocked the gun but didn’t put a pellet in it. Ended up not getting a shot and at the gun in the corner, barrel pointing up. Next day I went to load a pellet and shoot it and it won’t fire and there is no tension on the cocking handle. Now when you cock it it has no tension but seems to engage something at the end of the stroke but when you pull trigger it clicks but does not release the air. Did Leaving it cocked all night break something in the trigger group? Is there a process to get it to fire? I appreciate any help.

Hey there. It’s more likely that the air piston leaked out. You’ll have to have it repaired. Cheers AGW

Hey Rick, I have a model 135 with a Vortex piston in .25 caliber. I did my research, and decided to take on the challenge to tame this beast of an air rifle. The cocking and firing of the gun feels very smooth out of the box, aside for a strange trigger characteristic. I have noticed that when firing the rifle, I feel some forward recoil in the trigger. Based on some forums I have looked at, it seems like other have noticed this too. Any suggestions? Thanks!
@AirGunWeb9 жыл бұрын
Heli0sophist - does it effect how the gun fires? It may not be anything you need to be concerned with. You can always report it to HatsanUSA and see if they come back with anything on it. Let me know how it goes. Cheers, AGW
@HannibalBurgers9 жыл бұрын
Rick, Thanks for the reply. I found that it was due to cheap pellets with uneven skirts leaving gaps when seated in the barrel. It seems like what I was feeling was violent vibration from the piston slamming forward due to lack of sufficient back pressure. I switched pellet types and the rifle feels much smoother.

I’ve adjusted my tension spring to the point where it’s all the way out and still pulls like a mule! Crappy trigger imo. I like triggers under 2lbs. I’ll have to put a scale on my talon and test it. I bet it pulls close to 6 lbs at the lowest setting. I’ve polished and stoned dozens of triggers and removed a coil or two and have several triggers in rimfire and centerfires that will break from 1.5 to under a pound on my target guns. The springer air rifle Quattro trigger gets a thumbs down in my book. I littlerally have to “yank” this trigger Back to get it to break before and after adjustments.
@tripplebeards34275 жыл бұрын
Well I fixed the issue today! Only took 10 years and someone on KZbin posting how to disassemble this trigger and tips on how to lighten it. I replaced both front screws with longer ones along with a lighter tension spring from a ball point pen. My Quattro trigger brakes a crisp 20 oz now.
@pbc19514 жыл бұрын
You will have to remove the front screw, and replace it with a longer one..... Hatsan shipped to USA will not be able to adj way down.... Due to Sue Happy Lawers etc.... True !! Make that front screw 2 or 3 mm longer.... .020" to .030" longer... I did after googling a day and finding the truth... be careful ... go to light and will go to zero !! and barrell will snap back up !! Mine is Light now !

adjusting the middle screw in too much on a springer/vortex will lead to the gun firing even if the safety is on.
@DougFLA1234 жыл бұрын
You say the front most screw adjusts the position of the first stage, the Bullboss/Gladius manual says the front most screw is the Trigger Pull Force Adjustment. You say the middle screw adjusts the position of the second stage, the Bullboss/Gladius manual says the middle screw is the Trigger Travel Adjustment. You say the rear most screw adjusts the overall pull weight, the Bullboss/Gladius manual says the rear most screw adjusts the Force to Pull the trigger until the end of the first stage. Take the middle screw adjust for example, how is what you say...it adjusts the position of the second stage the same as what they say...it’s the Trigger Travel Adjustment, the same thing? How is your description of the front most screw and their description of the front most screw the same?
@AirGunWeb4 жыл бұрын
Take a look at the date of this video.. it may be that they've changed things.. or they have it wrong in the manual. I really don't have much if anything to do with Hatsan these days so I'm not sure where any of this is at. best to refer to them directly with any questions you may have. Cheers AGW

@@AirGunWeb My Bullboss was purchased years ago so it should be similar to you 2015 video. Is it possible that when you say the middle screw adjusts the position of the second stage it is the same as when they say...it adjusts the Trigger Travel? They seem like two different things.
@AirGunWeb4 жыл бұрын
@@DougFLA123 - I really don't know given what their manual currently says. Really you should be talking to them about it.. but here's what I remember.. there are 3 screws. Starting from the rear of the gun and going forward - screw 1 - trigger tension, middle screw - 2nd stage engagement with the sear, i.e. how much travel you'll have till you release the sear, 3 - front most screw adjusts the position of the 1 stage travel.. obviously if you start from the front of the gun, swap 1 and 3.. you get the idea. I'll tell you that the adjustable range is TINY.. you can over adjust and leave the gun either unable to cock or in a dangerous state.. if you don't know what you are doing, you would do well to get someone to help you who has experience. Hope that helps. AirgunWeb
