Thank you SO much for making this video! I just recently got a ball that I haven't been meshing with at my weekly league, so I have been trying new things during practice. I was about to give up on the ball when I found your videos about changing surfaces. I was really hesitant because I never adjusted the surface of a bowling ball before. This video makes it sound super simple and like something I could do during some free time. I will indeed be ordering some grit pads and give it a go. Thanks again!

@@LuisNapoles I do have a few questions that I am hoping you can help me with regarding the surfacing of a ball. The new ball I had gotten is a 5500 polish surface. I have a ball that is a 5000 polish surface that gives me the back-end reaction I am looking for. My questions are how do I properly adjust the surface and how do I maintain it? Would I have to continuously sand and repolish the ball after every bowling session?

@@nerahwolena8686 To answer your first question, you would first use 3000 grit, then the p5000d pad. Your second question regarding the upkeep on the polish and surface, you wouldn’t want to sand your ball every game because you’d just be wasting your money on pads and degrading your ball. I recommend that you resurface the ball every six to nine games.

Hello, I picked up a used Track Stealth recently and noticed I don’t have the action advertised. My rev rate is low, wondering if I could benefit from going to 2000 matte instead of 1500 matte. Thoughts?

Thank you once again. Your videos are very well done. This particular video helped me to realize that I should consider if I should do this after each league? I think my league goes for 14 weeks...ish? I do use a ball cleaner after I get done each night. Something I was also wondering is if waiting 30 minutes or less to clean the ball is a problem? Does the oil soak in too deep for the ball cleaner to effectively extract any significant amount of oil?

Until Lou's review comes out you might consider researching 3G. I bought a pair for 190.00 that comes with extra slide soles and interchangeable slide shoe heels. I was really considering the Dexter 9's (about the same price point) but u have to purchase the interchangeable soles and heels separately. Advantage of the Dexter pair I was considering is that the push away heels and soles are also interchangeable, unlike the 3G that has fixed soles and heels on the push away shoe. I'm happy with the 3G and not having to purchase extra soles and heels separately which can get expensive.

I throw the ball down the right side where it goes pretty straight and then hits the pocket near the end. So I am assuming I want polished finished. My ball seems like it’s dead lately and I haven’t touched the surface of it for over a year. What pad should I buy so it will go long straight down the right and then cut to the pocket. My footing is left of center and ball release is on the far right arrow. Please help. My ball is a storm with reactive pearl 2000 abralon polish finish when it was new. But I might not want the same for what i mentioned above
