HOW TO ADJUST YOUR FAL GAS SYSTEM

Short video on how to adjust your gas regulator on your FAL rifle and ensure proper functionality.
This is the South African way on how to do it. Recommended by the Master Armoer at DSA and South African veterans who have operated with this weapon system for years.

The FN C1A was the issue service rifle when I joined the military. This same process was done every time we went to the ranges to fire the Personnel Weapons Test . Canada was the first country to adopt the FN FAL , we adapted from metric to imperial and made to tooling to produce it under license. Best rifle I ever used fired thousands of rounds never had and issues except for our heavy barrel C2 that was prone to stoppages .

It's a regular DSA Range Ready 18" FAL. Added an Aimsport MLOK handguard to it and a JMAC muzzle brake. Viper PST Gen 2 LPVO.

If you had more than one round while you first started to adjust the regulator would that cause a run away gun?

No. Trigger does not reset without me physically resetting it by releasing the trigger.

As of right now I have it on setting 3. But that's just me... depends on the barrel length, ammo etc.

well my DSA FAL locks back with the gas regulator opened up all the way....

Each and every FAL has different gas setting.

@thefalguy9848 true, but DSA probably drilled my gas port too big, so even with the gas regulator all the way open, the rifle will beat itself to death.

I tried this, but nothing worked. Rounds won't even eject. Have to manual eject each round.

Make sure you have your gas plug installed properly and not in grenade setting.

Look in front of the gas block , you cha squeeze two circles & spin it around to where the A is up
