I never underestimate this kind of tutorial. sometimes I forget that this little secondary action gives much more life to characters.

Hey Robyn! your description is spot on I hadn't thought to do the eyebrow and check movement. The blink definitely looks better with those additions. I wonder if the pupil dilation is in the advanced controls? I'm not sure if he would have made them scalable with the controls or used set driven keys, my best guess is if he used set driven keys on the fingers he probably used them on the pupils as well.

Thanks! you were right, I found a way to scale the pupil with the advanced facial controls!😃

@@RobynO_O That's awesome! Glad I could finally help someone who has giving me so much insight and great advice. Can you select the pupil control in the channel box and middle mouse drag to scale them? I'm just curious if he used set driven keys. I think I will get that rig as soon as I get back to work.

well, it's got a pupil control that you select on the model and then if you select the scale values in the channel box and drag, it scales up and down

@@RobynO_O sounds like he most likely set it up with set driven keys, that's cool! Thanks for checking!

Hey Robin, nice video. There was a youtuber specializing in eyes. I have no clue if he is still making videos, I watched them 4-5 years ago. Eyes were his thing. (3D) Do you by any chance know who he is? Oh and bdw one thing I recall he was teaching is that we (the living things) tend to look at the world for as long as we can. That would mean that eyeballs tend to position themselves in a way that makes them see for as long as they can. What do I mean by this in practical terms? Eyeballs should go down so that Iris is visible in all position of the blink. It made a difference (back in a day when I was doing 3D animation). Yes you mentioned it breafly here but it may be of use to emphasize it all of people stumbling upon this comment. Anyways, back to the original topic, do you have any idea who "the Eye KZbinr" is?
