TwoWheelObsession Hi! I just ordered the red side panels. Thx for the video on those! QUESTION: I'm in search of some smoked hand guards to stop wind during the cold months. Have you found any that fit the FJR?

This was excellent. I’m installing some splash guards on my new car and don’t want the edges to scratch the paint. I bought this exact roll and squeegee the other day. Now I know exactly how to apply. Thank you!

I did the same but with a paper template, pencilled and cut to shape then scanned and digitised to cut on my vinyl plotter. Tip: Pull some rag tight over the squeegee edge to reduce the risk of scratching the vinyl or get a felt edged squeegee (worth having). The wetting process was spot on. Also spritz the glue side of the vinyl as soon as possible after removing the backing paper thus reducing the static and attracting dust. You went further back on the panel than I did on mine but then I did mine with carbon fibre wrap, I have a mantra that if you can't hide it make a feature of it lol. Well done Sir :)

Warning, another tip: spit on your finger and thumb before picking the vinyl up off the sheet (helps to avoid finger prints in the clear vinyl) ;)

That's a good tip - I had my fingers wet out of habit but obviously didn't mention it, thanks

I just got into the fjr family after waiting for years. Your information is hands down the best. Is there anything you can't do? You should be glad your not my neighbor now that I'm in the fjr family, I have tons of questions and about how to and products. Thanks for sharing your obsession of two wheels. Riding is my passion and fishing is my hobby.

I watched an older video of yours where you applied a reflective 3M decal to the rear of your saddle bags. I checked the Real Time website and their products list is pretty limited for specific model/makes (only the Yamaha FJR). I might be interested in applying some clear scuff protection and some rear reflectivity to my new Eluder. Can you tell me which 3M product was used for the reflective tapes? And more importantly, were you ultimately happy with the reflective tape after having it on for a while?

Nice work. This has given me an idea. I am considering attaching a tank bag to my Spyder's gas tank, attaching it with velcro at four points. Maybe a layer of 3M in between the paint and the velcro would b be a good idea? Thoughts?

A very good idea

how long do you have to wait for the film to dry before you can come back and wash the soapy water excess spray off?

I see your new tires in the background. How do you like those so far?
@TwoWheelObsession7 жыл бұрын
Mixed results - love the sporty handling and super fast turn in. Little squirmy two up at low speed. Grabs road grooves very aggressively. Not holding up well to long days of flat roads, starting to square at 1300 miles.

What kind of tire are those?

I love them except the last couple thousand miles of cupping. Ran a few sets of those.
