Fitted this to my super duke . Got back from a ride to see a tear right through it on the top of the tank where it had obviously taken a hit from a big stone . After a short period of crying I peeled off the film to reveal a tiny pin prick sized mark on the lacquer. This stuff works
@LambChopRides5 жыл бұрын
great to hear it works!!!

I've been using the 3m/venture shield for years on by bikes, its great stuff UV stable and cleans and polishes great. Little tip for the future spray the film as you take it off the backing paper it's less likely to get finger prints on it then. Great vid though Chops 👍

You have the patience of a saint. I am planning to get paint protection the day I pick up my NEW but getting someone to do it as I don't have a clean garage to DIY.
@Weeem5 жыл бұрын
My Acra fitting is tight to the point where it makes contact with the swingarm when the suspension isn't loaded. I got a sheet of VentureShield or VentureGuard (whatever it's called) and cut a small section to put on the swingarm to protect the carbon on the Acra. It's been brilliant and in the last 6 years I only had to replace it once when some grit got under it and the Acra started to lift it off. Great stuff

Yes seems to be tough stuff, been for a few rides and no chips thus far!! Fingers crossed

Nice stickage Chops! I'd do the same for mine, if only R&G also had a time machine to go back to before the panels were already scratched and chipped!!

Thanks Andy!! Im only playing at this sticker stuff you are semi professional at it now!! haha. Yeah its well worth doing, Its too late for the GSXR to many chips on that now as it wont lay over chips well I wouldnt think..

I bought a version of this before I picked up my Gixxer 1000R. Got it home and was the first thing I did. Spent 2 hours and it came out better than I’d expected. Like you, I did the dry finger print on the edge of one piece. Hardly noticeable and you wouldn’t find it if I drew you a map....... but I know it’s there and it fucks me off. 😂 Other than that, excellent stuff.

How does this affect the finish? Can you barely tell that it's on? I like the idea of this, but I wouldn't be seen dead with a screen protector on my mobile phone, so if it's anything like that then I think I'll give it a miss!

Lol. I'm rubbish at this stuff too, I get so angry as I always balls this type of stuff up. What a total pain in the arse this looks but totally get why you're doing it. Looks really good but I'm a bit surprised Kawasaki didn't do something like this as standard given the rarity of the paint. This is also illustrates the problem of owning a special & expensive bike. It's soul destroying to see it deteoriate & you can end up almost being scared to use it, which defeats the whole point of having it. Fight the urge chops, fight it lol! Love the ending too & he's right, it's A-tch not Hay-tch. ; )

I sprayed my bike the one on my photo it was under a rain cover awaiting my front wheel to come back from powdercoater I had a wheel on the front but no tyre I had wheel on the back with tyre and I heard a huge bang so I looked out window and it was my bike laying on floor.. My heart sank so I picked it up took cover off and OMG the only thing that was damaged was the bar end mirror no paint nothing. I was so lucky and now I don't use a rain cover lol 😂
