You don’t need to buff the underside of the nail. Just rub primer on it until it gets sticky and you’re good to go! My nails lasts weeks with no lifting.

@@noelthompson8932Of course, Aprés prefers you use their whole system, but any nonacid primer should work. I use Protein Bond from Young Nails, with great results!

Any tips for using sculpted nails on nails that are better suited for natural? I have the most trouble with my thumb nail. Needs tons more gel because size 2 is a bit too short , but it's what fits my thumb Best while 0 is too big but a better length.

Hi! Our reverse building method is using extend gel to fill up the empty space between the tip and nail. For example, if you were to use a super sculpted tip on a natural nail bed. Two layers of extend gel on the natural nail bed instead of one (cure between each layer) will help fill in the space. Once you proceed with the rest of the adhesion process, the gel that is put on the base of the tip will also fill in the remaining space if there is any 😊

Is it necessary to apply the gel under the nail?

Hello. Yes it is. If Extend Gel is not applied tot the underside of nail, you will not be able to adhere the nail onto your nail nail bed. If you would like to use our tips as press ons, then you would not have to apply Extend Gel to the bottom of the nail but instead use nail glue tabs or nail glue but it would not last 3-4 weeks.

Shelby Austin it’s really a great product you should give it a try. If you really don’t like their lamp you can always get the XTENS lamp or a handheld flashlight lamp from amazon or the new Kiara Sky lamp.

Hello ❤️ By buffing the bottom part of the cuticle, it will fit better to the shape of your cuticle. You can either use acetone on the inside of the nail or rough it up 😊

This is so frustrating having bought the kit based on how "simple" it was to use on yourself. This video has about 30 additional steps compared to the 6 mentioned in the instructions that come with the kit, takes a lot longer, and uses items not included in the kit e.g. the larger lamp, not to mention taping the lamp somewhere so it works properly!

This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen, gel-X is a mixture of Polly gel nails and glue on fake nails, I don't see the point, because you can just use poly gel and not have to shape and file them, the gel x nail system requires you to file and shape the nail like acrylics. It's just a glorified glue-on fake nail That's a lot harder to do. Polly gel nails you don't have to file the nail bed. You only have to shape the nail the way you like and it's done.
