How to apply and use CHINESE WHITE for custom engraving GRS Graversmith

Will chinese white smear my drawing when my fingers touch the led?

It's been my experience using Chinese white that it holds the lead stronger than paper, I've never had any issues with any smearing. Here's a link from another video where I use Chinese white and during the engraving my fingers touch the led and no smearing is visible.
