OK good! I literally just went and watched the video for myself to make sure that it made sense. I’m glad to hear that, and that’s the tricky part. Sometimes we can feel like we have been missed lead because someone raved about a product and then when we purchase that we don’t feel the same way. But, depending on the product, we do have to think about the fact that perhaps it worked for that person and didn’t work for us or vice versa.

Mena your videos have helped me tremendously. At one point I was wearing Milk Hydrating pimer for EVERY foundation expecting a matte look. Big mistake. Watching your videos have really helped educate myself on what works and doesn't. I've used each of these and my favorite shown is the Can't Stop Won't Stop, current summer time fave.

I am so so happy to hear that! And I do understand how enticing it is to see these videos and want to purchase these items to see how they work for you. For instance, the only reason why I purchased the Tacha silk canvas primer is because I saw it in tons of videos and I wanted to try it out. But here I am $50 later and it does nothing for me. So! There is definitely something to be said about making purchases off of recommendation, but then again, for many of these products, they work differently on us. So, somebody else might feel like the primer helped to blur they are pores, but for me pours aren’t my issue. So then in my case, the primary did nothing.

Yassss - try it out. You may need to get a good skincare routine to help balance out the oils. Could be over-production of oil because your skin is dry. But, I think you'll like that primer!

Glad to hear it! Ok - the undertone can be tricky, because even w/looking at the veins in your arm, that could still be a bit off. I was Warm for a years and now I feel like Cool/Neutral fits me best. I suggest getting swatched in store. Sephora also does an IQ test that is really good.

Thx! Ok, so sticks are a bit creamier, but it depends on the finish and coverage you want. Want full coverage, you’ll find that in a cream or liquid.

This was such a good learning video, and very entertaining as well. I have a quick question though: I have a Normal/Dry skin but I sweat a lot during the summer. I use the Urban Decay Optical Illusion Primer (I was told it’s world well on matte) with the Maybelline Superstay foundation. When I sweat, the foundation runs even after Sacha buttercup setting powder. Should I ditch this primer and use the NYX primer please? 😩😩😩.

Thanks! Ok try the CSWS primer! Thing is, I don’t sweat on my face very much, so i do about sweat proof makeup or strategies - buy try this primer and even the UD all nighter setting spray. If you feel too dry, be sure to focus on hydration with your skincare!

Loved this video so much, very informative. Thank you. I’ve noticed that my skin type has slightly changed since lockdown, I started taking skincare more seriously...I need to incorporate more hydrating products especially for my under eyes...Any tips on combating severely dry under eyes? I feel like my eye creams don’t work, and I’m not sure if my setting powder is too drying or my concealer is not hydrating enough. I’ve stopped baking. Also last one, any tips on reducing smile line creasing? I watched a video where a KZbin uses eyeshadow primer but that doesn’t see, to work :( thanks a million.

Hey - same! it totally happens! Ok. I would focus on hydration, hydration, hydration and put the setting powders (under eye) on a pause. Use a hydrating under eye concealer, unstead of a drying one. So avoid the Elf Camo and Morphe. Try....hmm. Gee, I don't use hydrating concealers, but the Juvias Place one isn't drying, but it sets nicely. Apply the concealer and let it dry on it's own. Don't apply powder on top. Right now you want to repair that dryness. So - in the skincare step, focus on the hydration in each of your steps, which is what I do - so you can see my skincare video - and then do the same with your makeup. All hydrating products and you can set it with a powder. I'll do a video. Re: smile lines - I haven't had that issue nor have I had experience with it. BUT, for some, the lines are so deep-set, that nothing will work besides fillers. You can try setting the skin with powder, just in that area, applying foundation and then setting the skin again, in that area and seeing if that helps. You'll have to try a few things to see what works for you.

I like the HG veil mineral primer for my oily areas but honestly I've used it so many years I'm not sure if there's something out there that will work better for me lol. Is there a mattifying primer that also fills in pores? The sides of my nose look like a dang orange rind 😭

Glad you found a product that works! Oooh, when it comes to pores - hmmm...one thing I will say is be sure to keep the pores clean. You know, with exfoliating. But, Benefit Porefessional is tried and true. I have it, but have only used it a few times. Large pores aren't a skin concern for me, but the product did feel really nice. You'll want to stick with full coverage foundations, even if you just use that on your nose and then something else everywhere else - this way you can cover that spot and make it all look even.

Hey! Check out my foundation video! It will say on the packaging that it’s matte, but on your skin, you’ll know if you see little to no shine, when applied and it your face feels dry, in a good way. Your skin is combination? Hmmm where are you dry? What do you want to look like when you apply your foundation? Sounds like you used too much and perhaps it was a bit clumpy. That can happen. Try to e a very thin layer. Wipe it ok and leave it. Don’t rub it in. Lmk how it goes
