What if I don't care about the streaks/haziness? I have a white car. Will I get better protection if I spray it on without buffing out the streaks/haze?

Great question! Applying a ceramic spray coating more liberally doesn’t improve its protection. For the best results, prioritize a thin, even application, proper surface preparation, and following the manufacturer’s guidelines. Overapplying can cause streaking and, more importantly, uneven curing, potentially compromising durability and appearance.

I applied this 2 years ago on Mty wife's 2021 Camry SE with mettalic black paint the same weekend we brought it home. I followed the directions EXACTLY and here I am, 2 years and a month later, needing to re-apply😁..Yes, you read it right, OVER 2 years with 2 coats! 🤯🥳2 WHOLE YEARS it lasted. Her car is ALWAYS garaged but, when she go to work, it stays out in the open parking lot surrounded by pine trees and hardly any shade. We're in Eastern NC, hot & humid summers with somewhat mild winters. Nearby detailing shops charge OVER $1000 for ceramic coatings, which they "guarantee" for only 12 months!? Hard work pays off with THIS product. Follow directions EXACTLY and you WILL get guarantee lasting result...👍🤙 BTW, I'm 65 year old man😊 DON'T be lazy and do it right. If an old man like myself can do this, you younger folk can most definitely do this when you put in the effort.😎🫡

That’s interesting… 🤔 Usually that kind of price makes sense for a longer-lasting 3+ year coating or when extensive paint correction is included, especially for smaller cars. Depending on the coating used, a true high quality ceramic coating(Especially a permanent one) definitely has its perks in terms of durability and chemical resistance, but spray sealants like this are a great option for many people too such as yourself. I got a brand new truck 2 weeks ago and im wondering how neccessary is a clay bar. Im kinda lazy so I was just wondering if I really need to lol. Great video tho. Im very excited to apply this to my taco thanks man

Congrats on the new truck, love the Taco's! You don’t have to use a clay bar, but for the best results, I (and the manufacture) always recommend lightly decontaminating even new vehicles with a mild clay bar and polish. You’d be surprised what’s stuck to the paint from factory transport. A good wash and applying the product will still help, but you might not get that silky smooth maximum glossy finish without the clay and polish, depending on the condition (since they’re all a bit different). Brand new is just simply your window of opportunity to do it right and extend the life right out of the gate. Have fun & thanks for watching!

I think the process is great but not for a 1 year prosumer product. All this is required for a 5 year pro coating. Turtle wax is not a pro product and shouldn’t really be used as such.

The distinction between “pro” and consumer-grade products is always up for debate. I’ve personally seen many over-the-counter sealants outperform those marketed as “pro-grade.” That said, this is just my opinion and doesn’t mean I think you’re wrong. It’s all about finding what works best for you. Proper paint preparation is key to achieving the best results, whether you’re using a wax, sealant, or coating. The only step I’d consider optional is the panel prep solution, unless you’re applying a coating designed to last 3+ years. Thanks for watching!
