In this video we continue Dylan Ekren's approach of how to take a 2D concept design and break it down to its essential form. Specifically we cover part 2 of the lesson that shows his approach to creating a base mesh in ZBrush.

This was super informative... Learned more in that 4 minute tutorial than I picked up from several longer ones. I have been trying to figure out how to keep things separate in polygroups for a while and this tut cleared that up. Now to practice...

YTC Justin Lyon I don't know if you need an answer anymore, but it doesn't matter what you use! Personaly I tried using a mouse and a tablet, but the results are the same.

Why is it that when after I import my reference image that I'm not able to sculpt on my model that is already in my edit document

i know it's a bit late to tell but you should disable spotlight projection, otherwise you would use the image as a stencil to sculpt over.
