I kept seeing complicated eye tutorials and knew there had to be a simpler way of doing it, this one by far makes the most sense, thank you!

Maybe because of a sense of kinship of all types of Dans (Daniels, Daniils, Dannys and such) but your workflows seem to resonate with me the most.

I really enjoy your tutorials but i'm a noob so whenever you use a hotkey i become lost, i was wondering in your next tutorials, when you hotkey- you'd say what they were :) thank you x

I have the same UI and hotkeys as Danny does so I'd be happy to help point you in the right direction. What part are you having a hard time with?

How does he select the eye around 2:20
@peterrobieart19437 жыл бұрын
If you're talking about masking it then CTRL + Click on the canvas. Then CTRL + Alt and drag out a rectangle to take out a little of the sphere. Then do your extract and remesh. Take your time with it and for each step pause the video. You'll get a lot further that way.
@mesa34687 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your reply, but my question was referring to after those steps and he says to select the eyelid and it turns purple. I was confused how to select the geomatry of the eyelid

If you watch earlier in the video when Danny does an Insert Mesh and adds the sphere then the sphere has it's own polygroup. It's this way by default. So open Zbrush and open the default head, hit T to go into draw mode. Once you're in this mode then hit I for insert mesh and add the sphere. Immediately after doing this hit Shift + F. You'll see the polygroup at this point and you can toggle the poly framing on and off with Shift +F too.

hello, I really like your tutorial, I notice one thing, you're scaling sphere at the begining by hotkey I assume. I was looking for some info how to do it but only what I found was Ctrl+Alt+click to set hotkey, but Ctrl+Alt+drąg (to scale) doesn't work out for me :/. Can you help me with that? What do I do wrong?

@DannyMac3d8 жыл бұрын
Hey man, love your characters :) Tbh I cheat a bit with hands by using a base. Mike Defeo has a good tutorial somewhere on creating this base and structure/shapes etc. When I'm good at them maybe I can add something interesting ^_^

I have a huge problem with the symmetry getting off center and then I have a lopsided sculpt. How can I avoid/remedy that? Thanks, Brandon Conner
@DannyMac3d7 жыл бұрын
Her Brandon. Not sure why this could be happening but you can get a model by clicking Transform>S.Pivot button. You might need to click it a couple times to centre the model. Then you can either "mirror and weld" the model or use Tool>Deformation>Smart Resym. It's hard to explain over text but if you drop into a stream I'd be happy to show you
@kingpen7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I'll try the mirror and weld. If that doesn't work, I'll try to catch your stream!
