Designed by aeronautics engineer Malcolm Sayer, the sleek, sculpted lines turn heads as much today as they did in front of the world’s press in 1961. Our model of the roadster version provides an opportunity to enjoy every inch of its perfect lines. However, the XK-E’s appeal was as much for its driving as for its looks, with its brilliant XK engine capable of producing 265bhp and shooting the XK-E to 150mph.

I used to live around the corner from the Jaquar showroom in Manhattan as a kid. I developed a dislike for the things-- I know, most other old cars-- sure. But Jags-- I thought they were trying to be funny looking too hard. But that doesn't mean I am not interested in how Agora figured out how to get a human being to assemble the spokes by hand. Fascinating. I think you did a fine job in showing the process. When anyone who has one of these things in front of them starts doing it, they will benefit from seeing what you showed. PS-- glad you're back and starting up!

I found that a small layer of a clear grease was helpful in retaining the spoke ends.

Amazingly helpful video. I just started assembling the old DeAgostini Jaguar coupe kit, and it has the exact same wheels - but with terrible assembly instructions. It literally took me 4 hours to lace up the first one. I'll try these instructions for the rest of the wheels,
