I've ghosted more people than I can count for being fake and/or predicting red flags. Sure, I hate being lonely, who doesn't. But it's pointless to let myself get into a situation that I'm not comfortable in or can't see the potential.

... and they are always so puzzled, why we would ghost a person who ticked all the social value items just for being "too slick", or "it wasn't going to work" (when they crossed one of our core, unchangeable values that we aren't going to discuss). Nothing is lonelier than being in committed proximity to someone who isn't really with us.

each one would exhaust a chapter in an ongoing series, not simply a standalone book, of 'people who are fuck that can't even get any fucks given about them' each one would need a whole season dedicated to them, like in cobra kai, and even then they could return after decades for a sequel beatdown....

As an INTJ I suffered from the usual social awkwardness and a lack of confidence in social situations. In order to overcome feeling or appearing vulnerable in public, I studied body language and acting for several years. I was able to develop a friendlier, open public persona which I employed to attract and evaluate potential mates (and friends) while revealing little. The chosen few who were perceptive enough to notice and patient enough to find out more were my people. This method was highly effective in vetting others with minimal drama and emotional risk. I successfully married and have a wonderful family as a result.

@@justcallmejon22 Thanks. My person turned out to be an INTP which we both discovered years later is a great match. My twenty-something kids are both INTJs and haven't found their person yet. Finding friends can be hard enough. Searching for a special someone who is able to understand and connect with an INTJ is like mining for rare gems. I did the same as you and started studying body language and psychology (not acting though although I should have now that I think about it). When I tell people that I did that to learn how to interact better and make friends they always give me a look like I'm the weirdest person ever lol. I suppose I am a bit weird but reading that someone else did the same makes me feel better about it.

Hi I’m an INTJ and I almost cried twice during this video because I feel seen. I ended a long term relationship because the trust was completely broken, and the worst part was how violated I felt because I had opened myself up emotionally to them, only to have them betray me in the end. It has prevented me from being able to even entertain dating since, and it’s been almost 3 years. Ok, so I did end up crying. It’s just nice to hear my internalized thoughts properly voiced.

I’m an ENFP and I met an INTJ, sure he likes his space but he’s not emotionally distant. It takes an evolved ENFP to understand that they appreciate being told what you like and don’t and if you don’t mind asking for affection, you’ll love INTJs cuz they learn all about you and if they’re into you, you’d be surprised about how much they care and the smallest of gestures. They express through everything but words so you have to be super observant and you’ll melt like butter.

I'm so glad to see that you are all enjoying it because I was afraid that nobody would want to watch a video at this length. My original edit was over an hour long so I had to remove a few content which I'll probably address in later videos. It's also always nerve wrecking talking about INTJ and emotions because each person feels emotions differently that I hope I didn't alienate anyone for saying something that is unrelatable. I hope you all know that my content is based mostly on my personal truth and it's okay if it's different from yours. Thanks you all for the support! I really appreciate it ❤ - Jon

In the end, when each of us had spent enough time reflecting by himself, we both can talk some days after silence calmly and understand each other without any problems. INTJ female with an INFJ mother as well. We got along great (she passed)! Until the Te-Fi/Fe-Ti clash. It takes a lot of communication to get through those clashes. The reason I think it can work (if both are healthy) though is because we both secretly NEED to share Se and can really enjoy that together. And, we are both fortunate to have Ni which allows us to see another’s perspective and we have thinking and feeling in the middle 2 slots which makes them more balanced.

I can't tell you how helpful this is. INTJ's can be very confusing to those who do not understand the INTJ ways. if we write a handbook we won’t be able to as easily detect fakers. the whole point is to get the most honest data quickly. what that person chooses to do, in what order, in what combination, when they don’t know what the right answer is, that’s very useful information - and very difficult to fake.
@shellbell8062
@shellbell8062 Жыл бұрын
@@nurainiarsad7395 That makes sense. I find some of the INTJ ways mystifying, especially as I am a feeler. My INTJ kept me at arms length for FIVE years (we are only just starting to see each other now and it's still going incredibly slowly) as he had been hurt before (haven't we all?). We have always had such a strong connection and deep compatibility - not something that comes around in life that often; and yet he was willing to risk me walking away by playing it so safe. A lot of the time it looked like he wanted nothing to do with me. No reasonable person should be expected to wait that long. Luckily I'm not a reasonable person and I like him that much. If I hadn't read so much about the INTJ I would have thought that he was messing me around. But I see the deep integrity and I also knew that he was not the type to play games. I do ponder the irony though that he is looking for this steadfastness and loyalty in me - yet by keeping himself so safe he was (inadvertently) showing me that out of the 2 of us, he is the high risk investment.

We can sound cold and detached when single, and a hopeless romantic at the same time. Not to darken the feel in the room, my ENFP friend died, sadly. I try to get closer with family members to balance losing her, but it doesn't work. I feel more misunderstood then before, because at least before I didn't know how family was viewing me. It is what it is. At least we have no shortage of goals, curiosities and thoughts to keep us moving forward. I've watched multiple of your videos by now, and you definitely explain things quite well. Being judged and misunderstood for "laughing at the wrong thing" made me laugh in one of your videos. Definitely have done that surrounding my loss. The person in front of me totally wrote me off as a sociopath.

As a young adult INTJ, I never realised that others dont plan as much as we do. I got with a guy who was driven & ambitious, but never recognized how he was slowly derailing my goals and accomplishments. He's passed away since, & I realise - 20+ years later- that I still hv the same goals (I did accomplish some before now) & still feel they're possible. At least now I won't allow anyone to get in my way. 😏

Very helpful. My current love interest is an INTJ. He has disclosed things to me which have made him very vulnerable. I told him he was ok, and he isn’t odd. I was touched that he felt safe enough to open up to me. As I watched this video, I realize how very rare it is for an INTJ to do this. He & I talk for hours by phone or in person. He told me he only talks for a few minutes with people generally. I have a rough time seeing this as we have so much fun together. I am an ENFP. Perhaps I fill in the gaps where he is weaker, and he for me. Thanks for this video.

Congrats on finding yourself an INTJ! It sounds like he's showing you his Fi values so the best advice I can ever offer anyone dating an INTJ is NEVER make him regret opening up to you. I (a Hispanic male ISFJ) have been courting a INTJ black girl for almost a year now dear lord is this accurate to the T. Besides one part with my INTJ she wanted to break up with me not because anything I did but she felt the code of honor I gave to her was better used on other women, I talked to her and we immediately got back together . I love this woman drearily and she has put me through a lot to get to this point with her. We had a powerful moment one night and it was the heaven I was looking for with her she was FAR MORE interested than I had thought, that night I had never felt so complete before in my life. Everything was perfect, for a few hours I was the center of her universe and she was mine. I reply that night over and over again and want more. But she has fears about fully committing because of the unknowns of becoming a wife, mom etc... THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO IT HELPS ME SO MUCH!!!! I will keep enduring because she is the best and I will not settle for less

Hi there. 55 year-old INTJ female here with a close ISFJ friend. I want to give you advice. I love my ISFJ coworker/friend but there is one thing that has almost broken up our friendship and that is when she has told me how to feel (or not feel). HUGE MISTAKE. I almost ended the friendship over that. I never told her how much it hurt me (obviously if she’s going to tell me how to feel then how am I supposed to feel safe telling her how i feel?) so she has no clue because we’re not close friends outside of work for me to go to that length of investment to be that vulnerable with her) and I know from how she behaves that we will likely not stay friends if/when one of us leaves this job. The issue is that she (you) has critical-parent Fi (6th slot Fi). I realized her Fe was a bit fake when I was thinking we were better friends then I realized she was just being nice. She’s said “I love you” (as a friend) but I think she doesn’t mean it as much as when I say it. So Ive realized our friendship is likely just situational for her and I decided not to be vulnerable by telling her how much it hurt when she told me how to feel. I simply just let her go emotionally inside. I can’t ghost her since we work together so we’ve continued to be friends but it feels fake to me now (coming from her) at times.

Its interesting how intj's expect from others to be 100% transparent since the first date, but then have a lot of trouble showing their true self to people (showing their Fi, removing those layers as he mentioned at the end of the video). I think for the intj is very important that their partner is able to show their true self since the begining because is what they struggle the most, so they feel admiration for the people that is just themselfs with confidence, not afraid of opening. I am an intp and i admire (and feel atracted) to guys that use Se and Fe, and i think is because of the same thing, i struggle to be present, a person of action and in tune with peoples emotions. But its just a thought. Nice video!
@justcallmejon22
@justcallmejon22 Жыл бұрын
INTJs are 100% transparent since the first date, we just won't talk about things that we don't want to talk about. So if you ask a question that we're comfortable with answering then you'll get the truth and we just won't answer questions that will make us uncomfortable. I think the best way to explain it is that you get what you give from an INTJ. Since you're an INTP, it should be easy, ya'll are one of the favorite types for us INTJs ✊

"A person can be INTJ and have completely different values through the trauma that they've experienced throughout their lifetime, and that doesn't make them any less INTJ". This rings so true for me; whenever I take the Myers-Briggs personality test, I score 49-51 or 51-49 for Thinking and Feeling in percentage. And, as a female, growing up with 2 extremely immature parents, I was always expected to take care of other people's feelings and to always be polite, serving, and (insert stereotypical female trait here). Regardless of traumatising childhoods like these, females are already expected to be more Feeling than Thinking; I remember being really interested in chemistry class but being laughed off by teachers and classes for wanting to study chemistry being that I was in fact a girl. But I recognise myself a lot more in being INTJ than INFJ, specifically when it comes to my response to feedback, but also caring about others. I can't say I care about others in the way that most people would classify "caring about others". For me, caring about others, is like being vegan, because that's good for climate change adaptation and therefore might inspire more people to become vegan too, and therefore this may add to the survival of those people (leaving out lots of cause-consequence topics now as I'm sure you can figure these out for yourself plus it's just an example and veganism is not the topic of this comment). The point is, your statement rings very true to me. Food for thought.

@21:00 I'm a 50yo male INTJ. That comment you made about things "clicking" and feeling like an idiot just happened in a big way to me. I had some traumatic experiences as a child and mental issues have been common in my lineage. As an INTJ, you can imagine the worlds I could create about trauma and my past and linking everything up through psych therapy. Been doing it for 30 years with a couple years hiatus during that period. I was diagnosed with atypical depression with anxiety and was medicated as such. But I still never felt like the root of the vine has been removed. But I really thought I was careful about understanding who I am and why I do things. Three months ago, a new doc diagnosed me as bipolar II with PTSD. My med profile was off. I don't know how another INTJ would take this, but I have had to spend 3 months going back over all the sort of significant events of the past and *reclass and refilter my whole past life* based on the knowledge I was actually bipolar. Those times when I was super productive, and I thought that if I could just keep at this level instead of having depression to foul me up, it would be great. After bipolar diagnosis: Those times when I wrote an NIH grant proposal in 5 days or went on a no-sleep week when I couldn't stop doing things when they "made sense," --- yeah, those were hypomanic periods. Complete change in a core value important to understanding the causes and effects of things on my life. It really shook me up. If someone else happens to be INTJ and also bipolar, I urge you to be aware of a sort of addiction potential. Imagine you are an INTJ and you are normally taking in data, sorting it and drawing conclusions, etc. We do it, but it's not easy, and it is tiring. Now, imagine that you could increase your productivity and sociability by 50%... it would be amazing. And if you are bipolar, manic episodes can be like cocaine. You could find yourself having periods of brilliance and charisma, setting all these plans and meetings and networking events to conquer the world. But then you come down... and you may even go below "normal" into a depressive state. Resulting in a huge INTJ existential problem: if you are depressed, you will be out of gas and not be able to live up to the demands you set in motion. What I'm trying to do is be aware when I'm in that state and keep in mind not to make obligations that my "normal" self can't accomplish.

I'm a skeptic, especially with people that I just met but with him, strangely I felt so much at ease because I know that what I see is what I get. There is no hidden agenda. You rightfully nailed that part. There are many parts of this video that is very him. I find myself nodding because that's the INTJ that I know. Unfortunately, we are no longer talking with each other. Kinda wish that I come across this video earlier so that I could understand him a little better. So that I can show him how genuine, how interested and how much I like him. I thought I was being patient and giving him the space that he needed. But perhaps that wasn't enough. Nevertheless, hoping he is doing okay :) - INFJ

OMG. You nailed it. Totally. I wish I could have this ready and available for any "interested persons". I am very aware of "mission critical" aspects of any project, and as a default will calibrate carefully any disclosures or even comments within that context, so as not to endanger the mission. I'm aware of vastly more than I choose to react to. And I make detail-specific differentiations: I'm not agressive in a crush-maim-&-kill mode, but if you've signed on for some foolish idea that endangers the project, I will NOT take into account your emotions when I argue against it, so be prepared; and if someone else argues against your project, I will NOT take into account* their emotions when I mount a defense (*unless they are mission-critical personages, in which case I will take their emotions into account but not let it stop me.) It's a bad habit and I've been called out on it before. I'm trying to change but man is it difficult because of how easy and natural it is to just ignore someone 😂

It depends. I will call someone out once for disrespecting me. If it happens again, poof, gone. But I won't typically cut someone out without warning.

Thank you for this video! I'm infj and my husband is intj. When I watched this video I tottaly realized why our relatioship works so well. We are so similar but our differences complete each other. I feel so lucky to be in relatioship with intj ❤ Thank you also for important reminder how to take care Fi side of intj. Maybe I should respect more my husband's feelings although he rarely shows them. 😅❤

Congrats on finding an INTJ! The INFJ & INTJ pairing is one of my favorite so it's always nice to hear about it. I'm sure your husband shows you his Fi, you just kinda have to listen carefully. It's going to get brought up in random moments and not be emotionally charged, but why would he bring it up if it didn't matter?! I'm hoping for the best for your relationship and please take care of your INTJ for me 🙏

I honestly have been attracted to people who like learning and are fairly open minded and basically I can discuss Ni with and not be immediately shut down and also listen to me talk about tons of things even if they don’t understand everything. And even let me teach them some things. I do have an attraction to what’s different I am more attracted to someone doing their own thing and has flaws than someone doing a trendy things and seeming “perfect”. Ya looks do matter to an extent but it’s more of a pass fail system, if someone looks decent and can present themselves it’s good enough. Currently dating an ENTP and it’s been going well.

The whole message thing is so on point is scary 😭 I'm this way with my friends too, they've just had to accept that's the way I am and it's nothing personal if I don't respond for days, which to some people is rude or unacceptable.

Jon, it's good to see you. I lost you in the maze of whatever YT is doing to cause us to miss our favorite channels. I'm glad I finally found you again. I couldn't remember anything but Jon lol. I love this video. I love all your videos, but this one is exceptional. I am still with my INTJ and we are doing good. It was nice to be reminded of some points you make that I need to be aware. My partner has started to share more and more, but when he does share it is incomplete. I've learned to accept what I can get and stay patient. Eventually, I learn more. It does make me smile and wonder if you and he are like twins ;) . Thank you for your hard work on your videos.

As an INTJ, once I find I like someone, I usually am quite direct about it. However, saying "I like you" to most people seems to confuse them. It's like being direct and blunt confuses people.

But for some reason I don't feel bad.. Just matching his pace! Though most of the times, I feel he is not saying things he actually wants to but doesn't matter. Whatever his response is.. I am enjoying his company even though we are sitting in our homes. Thanks for your video.. As an INTJ, the trama statement you made really resonates with me. I rely on physical contact a lot with my friends from being physically neglected as a kiddo. One if my coworkers from india explained how physical touch is more common over there and they always give me hugs when i see them. It immediately warms me up! For a while, I doubted how much I fit into being an INTJ because I'm so open for physical affection for others. But this makes me realize my willingless for physical contact is HEAVILY seperated from how I view relationships. The whole video is amazing :3

Glad to hear that you've acknowledged your difference in approach to physical touch and that it didn't deter you from realizing you're an INTJ. I had to learn how to be okay with physical touch although I still steer away from massages or anything of that sort because it still sounds weird to me, but I won't knock anyone who enjoys it 😅
