What a beautifully decorated home! I like the kitchen backsplash and the paint color in the dining room!

I read a tip to spray the baking sheet 1st to keep the parchment paper from rolling up. Yesterday I used parchment paper to cook bacon in oven, I had temp set only at 350. When bacon was done, tge grease was a milky white from the parchment paper! I would think that wouldnt be healthy!
@MelanieCooksRecipes17 сағат бұрын
That’s interesting! I never had this happen, but yes it doesn’t sound healthy. Try unbleached parchment paper, I’ve actually switched to it recently because I’ve read it has less chemicals

I tried this method today for the first time as it's Mothers Day and all the family was here. I had a second tray as well where I cooked the bacon on a rack in a tray. We all agreed the wire rack method gave a better result with a good measure of crispness and a little more flavor in the meat. The first test on the baking paper alone I would not do again - it resulted in the bacon getting a noticeable fatty taste, not surprising seeing as it was frying in a sea of fat in the tray, not the healthiest way to prepare food. Thanks kindly for the video.

Thanks for sharing your method using a rack on a tray, I’ll have to try it! Sounds like a great idea as the fat drains away that way!

Good Idea❣️🔥❣️Not Cooked Long Enough For Me‼️😘‼️

Just add a few extra minutes to the cooking time. Watch it closely as it burns really easily. If you undercook, it’s easy to put it back in the oven, but if you overcook it’s too late :)

I place my bacon on foil and cover it up with parchment paper, keeping grease from popping everywhere.

Has anyone tried doing this with another piece of parchment on top of the bacon too? I'm thinking it would reduce the spatter?

Oven baked bacon is so much easier. Just add more time in the oven for crispier bacon. I think some directions on back of package says 450° F
@MelanieCooksRecipes Жыл бұрын
I love oven baked bacon! 450F is too high I think, it burns too easily
