The H+ here is the property of the acidic solution. If for a basic solution, there is OH-. The only different step for a basic and acidic solution is that, after doing all of those steps (you get an acidic solution), you can turn it into basic by adding OH- to both sides of the equation to neutralise the H+ you got after you did the acidic solution.
