Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for a Basic Introduction on How to Calculate Oxidation Numbers in AP/General Chemistry. Knowing the electronegativity of elements, the Ions and polyatomic ions sheet is an excellent way to calculate oxidation numbers. This is an error free video/lecture on KZbin TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.

this channel is singlehandedly carrying me through college chemistry :) thank u so much, somehow your explanations are 1000x more understandable and LESS BORING than my lectures, even though I love my teacher. I basically ignore allllll my school material and just focus on finding patterns in the steps in solving problems, and you seem to understand that more than anyone. You give me EXACTLY what I need to understand the patterns, and you do it so fast that my ADHD brain is able to stay focused! So bloody perfect

It's weird that Americans are taught to add to both sides in algebra e.g at 7:35 you +8 to both sides, whereas in Britain we're taught to move the 8 to the other side and change from + to - or vice versa. Just a weird little thing I noticed :)
