@df65972 жыл бұрын
@@revolutionsoldier5889 I mean, you don't really bend them much. It depends on your structure and flexibility, but you don't lock them. You get your grip situated, stick your butt out kind of, bending at the hip back straight, big chest, you should feel the stretch in your hams, then you power through driving your hips forward and tightening your glutes and hams for a big squeeze. Repeat for prescribed reps.

Great question! For this exercise, It involves stiff legs and a rounded back at the bottom of the movement to work the spine erectors more dynamically. However you are still targeting your hamstrings and glutes

It's all good my friend. I just feel like there is so much trash on KZbin about "injuries" that people are getting afraid to push their limits, especially beginners. I want to do my best to encourage others to build a strong body and you are 100% right, lowering the weight can be a shot to the ego, but usually its the ego that causes the injury, not the exercise. Hope you have a wonderful week my friend! #HTH

Yes, you certainly do round your back in a stiff-leg deadlift. the main differences are that with the rounding you are going to work your spine erectors more dynamically.

I think guys would typically try to lift the same amount of weight performing these stiff-leg deadlifts, as they would doing your traditional deadlifts. Simply because they can't take the shot to their ego. This is a great exercise, if you do the right amount of weight, which is typically pretty low. Great video though Scott, sorry if I pushed your buttons pally. Look forward to the next one.

I just tried these and I can do them quite well, I’ve not deadlifted in a long time due to my knees and back, but being as the legs are stiff it’s not too bad on my knees so far. Hopefully it will also stretch my hamstrings as they’re super tight, from doing loads of weighted hyperxtension machine work. They’re so tight I cannot do a good morning without popping in the biceps femoris behind the right knee.
