@luk3035 жыл бұрын
People hang on tradition too much. It's not about how looks like a specimen and has perfect technique (saw that on Ruiz vs AJ). Also, there is not really one perfect technique. Whatever is effective is good technique. Period. We have one guy in the gym who refused to be trained with one stance. My coach said to him that he first needs to learn to fight with his stance, and then after ten, fifthten years he can switch it up and try to learn both stances. He refused and did every drill two times as often as the rest, each stance once. He had do to that outside the training, cause my coach would get angry at him. The dude fights so unorthodox, it's actually crazy watching him box. But guess what, just after 1 years he became the champion in the city tournament (In Germany that his like the first step to becoming recognized in the amateur scene, and people usally get there with like 4 to 6 years of boxing training). I've been boxing for many years myself, and in the beginning inspired by Naz I wanted to train both stances from start to. My coach said "no, you can train that when you perfected the basics on this stance first", but after I perfected the basics it was impossible for me to switch to another stance. It just wouldn't work.

Luk whatever is effective is good technique? That’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard lol you don’t comprehend the purpose of good technique. Look at wilder looking like an amateur against fury and you might figure it out.
@luk3035 жыл бұрын
@@wutang5503 did he really look like an amateur though? At the end of the day, it still is a draw. Now you think about that; how a guy that only started to box when he was 20 years of age gets a draw against another guy that trained his whole life. Also let's be honest here, I think when Fury left this planet for a few seconds in that last knockdown, he probably thought to himself "well, that was an effective punch". Effective is always good; it is implicated in the word itself. Now, one could very well argue that Wilders technique was not effective against Fury, since he didn't win (or the other way around); but thats another story.
@wutang55035 жыл бұрын
Luk he did. The way he kept missing over and over. The way he kept doing the same shit and when it didn’t work he still kept doing it because he has no skill fundamentals or technique etc to fall back on. He landed 16 percent of his punches lol Arturo gatti landed more than that on Floyd. Power is not technique in boxing or in any combat sport. Nobody with real knowledge of boxing will tell you that. There’s a reason for good technique and fundamentals and there’s a reason boxing is taught how it is taught.

That’s sparring. Not fighting. Boxing’s not just a sport u can just hop into for 3 days and all of a sudden you’re a fighter. You don’t know the feeling of being in an actual fight. The sound of the crowd. The lights. The doubts going through your mind thinking “maybe I should’ve ran that extra mile” walking up to the ring. The feeling of your heart beating out of your chest from all the adrenaline. The full powered shots from your opponent that make your ears ring and see black spots. Traditional boxers train for at least 3 months before they even get to spar. My coach made me look at the mirror and practice basic combos (shadow box) over and over again so that I could see the fight before ever getting in the ring.

He ain't the picture perfect boxer, but I think this is a side of Deontay Wilder most people dont see (refuse to see). At the end of the day, what he does is a noble thing, going in harms way, putting his body, soul and reputation all on the line just to provide for his family. Gotta respect the humble grind from Wilder. He puts on an act- yeah he's a showman, he's trying to sell tickets to put food on the plate for his family, but Wilder seems pretty legit

The best build up to a fight I’ve ever witnessed was the fury vs wilder it was theatrical and entertaining I never got so excited for a fight....the best boxer in the division vs the most powerful boxer arguably in history...I don’t want to see the rematch they should just leave right there!! We will look back in history and that fight will be cemented forever

Juiceman Irving he will they have too
@fabesey20165 жыл бұрын
He'll probably never fight him. If he beats Fury he'll sit on that win forever and go back to fighting mailmen; if he loses then Joshua has no reason to fight him, and Wilder will have to actually fight a few top 10 guys to get back in contention, by which point he'll be like 35/36 years old.
