Great video! Love you guys. I followed my calling to become plant based and transitioned myself and my 4 year old daughter. My husband still eats meat. I never heard any concern when she was eating McDonald's, prepackaged junk and candy but now that's she's eating plant based and healthy I'm getting skepticism from family. I just have to block it out and follow my heart although I sometimes feel like I'm on an island alone. This video helped me in more ways than you know. Thank you! ♥

I’ve been slowly transitioning to a whole foods plant-based diet, and I’m down to eating only one meal a day that contains animal products. Your meals along with a couple others have really really encouraged and helped me transition and not miss any of the old foods are used to enjoy. I just finished a work out and made up your green smoothie and I just wanted to hop on here and say thanks. I gave birth to my second child back in September, and as I have been leaving out animal products I have been feeling better and better. I can’t wait to keep on this journey. 🌻😊

Great interview! I love how he talked about eating raw vs. cooked foods. I don’t believe in one way to eat plant based is right for everyone and we want to encourage people to eat more plants. Some raw vegans deter people from going vegan because of that. I tell people all the time to try veganize their favorite meals first and pick a day of the week that you’ll do so. I convinced a lady in an Uber once to start that way and she was so happy that I was encouraging that it made her eager to try. I’m sorry but eating 20 bananas a day is not exciting. I like warm foods way too much!

I love inspiring perfect strangers too! I am mostly raw with periods of all raw. And just like there are vegans out there with lots of crazy, frequently erroneous info on how to be a vegan, there are plenty of wacko raw foodists too, particularly the 20 bananas a day crowd. Many of those you-tubers have gone back to being omnivores because they were not feeding themselves properly. Calories matter and balanced nutrition matters-that's what I love about Dusty and Erin and Dr Greger-well researched helpful information. Believe it or not, I went more raw because I divorced my chef husband and I don't know how to cook!

@@marthawalters5511 I tried to do raw eating but it just want as appetizing to me. However, I still look for some things b/c who wants to be over a stove in GA heat in the summer? But I invested in an instapot. It’s a lifesaver especially if your not the best cooker, you can just dump ingredients and go!

I was lucky enough to have breast fed for four months thanks to the stress I had to experience in my life at that time. It still amazes me how much stress affects a body and so much so it can dry up a milk supply. So I didn't have any pain like other women when they choose to stop breast feeding. My baby did get that first very important golden milk so that is the most positive of my experience with breast feeding.

How about atopic children? My family and I have been "flexitarians" for 6 years now, we are gluten-free and lactose free. My daughters still have got some skin problems, tiny problems though. They do not have to take any medicines at all, they just catch colds from time to time. I provide them with lots of vegetables, beans ,seeds and yet I fear they get skin problems because they eat the seeds and beens(allergy reaction).I can not find the perfect way. I also fear eliminating meat 100% as we already eliminated gluten. Maybe You have some thoughts, ideas...

Great interview! Loved it 😃 my daughter is almost 5 years old and my son is 15 months! Both have been vegan since conception and are thriving! Love seeing what you feed Max for inspiration. We all eat a whole food diet vegan diet so I can relate too all your video’s!

Thanks for the video, this was very interesting !! I thought it was pretty good how he touch base on feeding children properly, because a child won't grow and thrive. My friend wasn't feeding her child enough, the child didn't talk much and his head wasn't proportioned with his body. It's was scary to watch. I can't wait to read up on this Dr. Happy Sunday evening.

I am soooo confused with the oil issue. I heard before to use lots of olive oil. Its supposed to be good. Are healthy oils bad? Besides being calorific .
@EatMoveRest
@EatMoveRest 3 жыл бұрын
There are benefits to oil, just like there are benefits to coffee, but we feel that the cons outweigh the pros and there are plenty of healthier health foods out there! We look at oil as a 100% refined fat, stripped of its fiber and other beneficial whole food constituents, similar to sugar, which is a 100% refined carb! It's better to focus on getting fats from whole food sources like seeds, nuts, and avocado! :)

Hello Erin, I love your way of living and everything you convey, but this time I’m a little bit confused about the microwave ... English is not my native language- did he really said : „microwaved“? From everything I have seen - you don’t have any microwave, right?

My 12 year old daughter and I have been eating this way for a few months now but my problem is that I’m STARVING all the time. I try to eat a ton of calories but it never seems to satisfy enough and then I end up binging on something else just to help with the hunger. Any tips?
@EatMoveRest

Try to eat high protein plant foods like quinoa, lentils, etc and pair a healthy fat with meals, like half an avocado, tbsp of nut butter, etc. Oatmeal with fruit and nuts is filling for breakfast too! Plant-based food just digests optimally and more quickly than what you're used to!
@dizzyk4208
@dizzyk4208 3 жыл бұрын
@@EatMoveRest thank you! That’s probably my issue about the digesting faster. I have suffered from stomach problems most my life and they are gone with WFPB. I’m hoping it will help my asthma too! Love your channel, thanks again!
