I’m not quite convinced by this book. It makes sense to me starting with and identifying the problems before looking into solutions (lean startup method). Otherwise you can come up with a concept for an ‘innovative’ invention by rearranging other inventions but by not starting with the problem you’re married to an idea not married to solving the right problems. That can be a slippery slope

Why be married at all? Always have an open mind to be flexible enough. Solutions will be stored in your sub conscious waiting for a suitable problem to match or vice versa with problems first

I think "addition" was missed; as in add a copy machine to a telephone and get a fax machine. It does seem like a great book, though.
