Why am I so happy? My happiness stems from one simple principle. Live a life driven by choice over destiny. The modern age has programmed us to believe a lie about the world we are plugged into. A lie that stems from over comparison, over stimulation, over consumption, self limiting beliefs, and a pre-programmed, pre-deterministic mindset. We are a microwave society, a pill society, an instant gratification society, and a shallow thinking society, trapped in the long dark hallway of destiny. Escaping the hall of destiny and discovering true happiness is a choice. It’s unplugging from the never ending feed that is destroying your attention span, down regulating your dopamine receptors, ruining your ability to cultivate real relationships, and further reinforcing any negative biases that you already have. It’s communicating clearly, passionately, and without fear with those you love and realizing the easy way is not always the best way. It’s standing up for what you believe in while also remaining open to the fact that you may not be right. It’s taking responsibility for everything right here and now. No excuses for anything. No shame and no blame for the choices you’ve made that got you here. Look in the mirror and manifest the reality that you want and are capable of. Take a look around you and realize that people don’t grow up, they just get old. We are all still children making choices every day. Life doesn’t just fall into place. Our choices guide us through our entire existence and it’s never too late to rip out the hooks of destiny. Just like our genes, destiny only provides a blueprint. Our genes are the architect and our choices are the builder. A life of happiness is not built overnight. It’s built brick by brick by the small choices we make each and every day. You are more powerful than you can ever imagine. Unplug from destiny. Choose to be happy in the modern age. Thanks for watching! Subscribe for new videos every week.

I liked what you said about adults still being childen. I’ve had that thought that although I’ve become an adult, at no specific point did I stop being a child. I believe I’ll always still be a child no matter how old I get hahaha

Relying on fate is kind of like relying on luck. I’ve learned through music that I can’t rely on luck to have a good gig/recording. I believe in an equal amount of good/bad luck, which is really just mathematical probability. The only way to know you’ll be good at something musical is to put in enough practice. And my goal isn’t that I can do it right, but that I can’t do it wrong (within an acceptable range)

Although it may sound depressing to others, my happiness in life stems from my belief that death leads to infinite nothingness. No afterlife, no heaven, no reincarnation. Nothing. It really makes me appreciate the time I have. P. S. Im really digging your channel, man.

Glad you are liking the channel! I don't think that's a depressing perspective at all. It sounds like that helps you appreciate the time you have here and not take any days for granted.

Last summer one of the hikes me and my girl took was 9 hours of rain and wind at 2000m altitude. It was our longest one that year. We couldn't even hear each other talk for the most part and the breaks we took were short because of the cold that would immediately set in after stopping. At one point on our way back from the summit we had climbed with no visibility the sky came apart and for about 5 minutes our region as well as the peaks we'd left behind were bathed in the most beautiful sunrays that I have ever experienced. When we got back to the car our feet were drenched with cold water and our bodies battered and shaking from the cold wind. We didn't get sick, we didn't think of the trip as a waste of time and we definitely didn't moan and complain about the weather. It was one of my best hikes I ever took and will probably remain one of my fondest memories. There is beauty in the most unexpected places and circumstances, you just have to see it.

Hey Petie, I like the analogy of intentionally and persistently building your life brick by brick. But my question for you is what foundation are you building upon? “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell-and its collapse was great.” When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching. Hoping you find the narrow path to life brother❤️

I believe the choice over destiny mindset can be applied to improve anyone's life, no matter what their belief system may be. The interpretation will be highly personal based on your culture, upbringing, and personal belief system. Thanks for watching!

@@ThePetieProject I agree all of these things come into factor! If you dont mind me asking, do you believe in absolute truth Petie? If yes, then we both must agree that neither our perception of the truth, nor our personal belief can alter or change the truth in any way. Now, if such an invariable truth does exist, I personally believe a man would be wise in sacrificing all lies and false beliefs in order to fully acknowledge this truth, and even lead others to it. What do you say?
