I won't lie, I compared myself to my sister because I thought she had it better than me while I was working a shitty job in my hometown.

Comparing yourself to siblings is really common. But when we do that, we only look at the surface. We don't know the details of everyone's lives. Sometimes they're not as great as we think.

The fact that my little sister is jealous of me boggles my mind. She is in a much better position that I was when I was her age. I was making more money technically but it was under 35k and I had tons more debt. She thinks that because I have health insurance I'm set but I can't afford to use it so it really doesn't matter.
