You’re not alone and you can beat it. I suffered from depression for about 10 years but I’ve gotten myself to a place where I don’t feel depressed anymore. Oh boi, you’re bringing back memories, Stevie 😂 I was literally that emo/goth person in my teens who had the jet black hair, snow white make-up and who generally looked like an added extra in the Helena music video! Those were the BEST DAYS though (and still got those flicky bangs! 😉) Love that you’ve welcomed us back to the black parade, Steve. Your vid is as on-point as an emo’s eye make-up, and made me laugh the whole way through! 🤣 Can’t WAIT to see the see the music video in all its undead, blood-stained and hopeless glory 😁

I have to say that they put on a great live performance back in the day - the first time we saw them they opened for Green Day during their American Idiot tour

They’ve been mocked a lot for their look and their teenage girl fanbase. But yes, their solos are reminiscent of Brian May, and their riffs are so catchy. @@caseypike3956 Hey Casey, I'm very humbled, and happy that my words could uplift you or help you in any way! As far as your relapse whatever you do don't beat yourself up! I've been using hard drugs since I was 12 I've been fighting this demon for 38 years, and didn't even try to stop till 2017. So for 5 years I've been getting clean and relapsing. I've lived through hell. When I was 15 my Dad was shot and killed, when I was 21 my little brother was stabbed and killed, when I was 23 my 14 month old daughter passed away in my arms in the hospital. Then 2 years ago I think I finally got it all together, going to therapy taking meds to help and thought I was finally clean. Then on November 8th 2020 I go down to my basement and find my 27 year old son overdosed and passed away. He had been gone for 24 hours. So I went right back to what I knew would make me numb. Fast forward a year on November 30 2021, a year ago tomorrow actually my Mom has a massive stroke and passed away right in front of me in the living room. Now Mom always had her shit together and I am a only child so I got a big beautiful house and 40 thousand dollars cash. I was spending 500 to 700 dollars a day on fentanyl and crack! Plus living like a king. Well that shit was gone in 3 months and I was right back to being dopesick and hustling for cash. About 100 days ago I decided to kill myself. I tried to hang myself and somehow 911 was called, don't ask me how. I ended up in a mental health facility that also deals with addiction. I relapsed twice when I got out and have been clean 94 days now. The only thing that's for sure in recovery is relapse! Don't ever give up on yourself you are worth a good, happy life! Take care of yourself brother!!!

the difference between Stevie T videos on "how to make an song in the style of a artist" and other videos of the genre it's that despite the humour, he really knows what makes every artist he imitates good also, the We Will Rock You joke actually suits MCR because they have an huge inspiration on Queen and even played with Brian May once, speaking of them, we need a Queen cover one day, in preference one that goes like the Hard rock songs of them 👀

Wow, Steve!! I swear, sometimes I feel like our minds are telepathic. 😆 I was just talking to my oldest niece about some of the stuff me and my friends used to do when we were young and how we used to stay up late to watch our favorite music videos on MTV. Our favorites were Sugar We're Going Down by Fall Out Boy and Helena by My Chemical Romance. It made me think of your Fall Out Boy video you did a couple years ago and I literally thought.. what if Stevie did How To Be My Chemical Romance.. 🤯 Isn't that crazy?! 😆 I was honestly never a huge emo/scene kid, but I did like the style and some of the music back then. Although I never dressed like it 'cause I felt too self conscious. 😅 I didn't want to stand out and be noticed.. My friends were the ones who were more emo/scene. I was more into grunge and nu metal and classic rock/metal rather than emo, but I'm totally into goth now in my 20s. I don't really dress up like some goths do though. I just love the music and naturally wear all black casual/comfy clothes. 🙂🖤 P.S. I love that wreath you have on your door!!

That is really weird Emily!! Thanks for telepathically giving me this idea!! 🤣 I was the same. Didn't dress the part, but was really into the music. I sure do miss MTV playing those emo classics. That era is dead, and that makes me lvl100 emo 😢

I remember my emo phase, I did not pull off the look well at all lol! I still wear my funeral attire but I don’t have the black flippy hair like back then haha. I remember when my blonde roots would start showing and I had to keep touching up my roots to make sure my head looked like shoe shine, dark enough to show the darkness I felt on the inside 😂😂 It’s so cloudy and rainy here in Indiana, suits the depressing feel lol. Can’t wait to see the video, I’m sure it’ll be super dreary and dark. Great video as always Stevie ❤️❤️

You still wear the funeral attire!! That's pretty sick. I actually like the style a lot. Don't think I'd be able to pull it off though. Haha! You probably hated being blonde. SO not emo!! 🤣

At the 2:07 mark, when you said “we are not dead, we are dead on the inside,” you should have said “we are not dead, we only dress that way.” It would have been a reference to their Conventional Weapons song ‘Boy Division’ 😂

"We are not dead, we are just dead on the inside" - that put me right on the floor 😂🤣 I love the Lava Guitar...If I had the $$$ I'd snap one up - Then I too could do 4 chord depressions! This video is awesome - you really nailed the emo feel of the time. I can't wait to hear the finished song!! Yeah, dude. The amount of work and editing he puts in to his videos is kind of insane. Typically when channels get as large as his, the creator will hire an editor or two to help with the work load.

I‘m a teenager (16), started getting into rock and metal music around 4 years ago and i don‘t feel like i will ever stop loving this music. Compared to so many people here, who have been into this music for several decades, this is like nothing and I feel like a baby… But even if i‘ve been listening to this music for not much time, it still already helped me through some sh1t and still does at the moment. A few weeks/months ago I started listening to mcr‘s music a lot and I‘m sooo incredible happy about them being back together and touring, hoping, i‘ll be able to go to one of their concerts one day. What I really love about them is, that they also show some of their political values (eg Gerard (and the whole band) standing up for the lgbtq+ community). Thanks for this video, Steve! I laughed of a lot and really needed this

Seems like we have so much things in common... I'm also a teenager, 15, and it wasn't so long since I've discovered MCR, too. I was into rock music because of my bf (ik I'm young for it XD). Though MCR is not my no. 1 fav band, it is my second. Their songs, are just chilling for me and idk why XD. Especially when I am sad and was in a tough situations. I really want to be in their tour... Would be a great achievement to see them live. Ooh, English is also my 2nd language, wtf XD
