My tip is to compartmentalise everything; we’re habitual creatures. I associate my room with sleep / play so never do work there. I will head to the library if I want to do work and only come home once I’m ready to sleep / relax

Great video! I really like the last tip about not thinking you have unlimited time in the evening, so you can get to sleep at a reasonable time... I struggle with falling into that trap after a long day!

I really like how you do the video layouts when you are sponsored. Sometimes, youtuber's will take 4 minutes in the beginning to talk about the sponsored and then it just turns me off to even watching the video. but with you, you mention it quickly at the beginning, but allow us to enjoy your content before you briefly talk about it at the end.

I'm a 3rd year med student and Having an organized area is very important. Whenever I sit to study I just begin to think of unnecessary things that are kept in the wrong areas and feel the need to clean. I prefer to stay back in class to study so as soon as I get home I can just do whatever I want. Thanks for the tips Jamie. ❤️

Jamie’s tips for productivity: 1) have a routine or know what your going to accomplish-don’t lie down right away 2) set goals outside of school (use it as a break after class) 3)have an organized work area so you don’t want to clean 4) have a big picture goal! ( long period of time like getting a good grade in a class, or application or project and work on it everyday.) 5)have a scheduled time to stop working ...don’t watch tv or go out with friends before bc your sacrificing ur sleep

I really liked this video, especially Tip #5! So many times it seems like videos on how to be productive don't give you a lot of tangible advice and the message ends up being "just try harder". Watching this also did remind me of how much differently my brain works, though. I recently learned I have ADHD so no amount of trying harder is going to be a magic fix for me, I need to actually set boundaries to give myself some structure, but not so many that I feel stuck and overwhelmed. Thanks for this! Your calm demeanor is really pleasant to watch.

U are my role model. Initially I had no self confidence during first month at medical school but after watching ur videos , my self confidence gradually took off . I discovered that having a routine study plan is the feedstock of confidence , good grades , good health and many more . You're such an inspirational person. My personal tip for productivity after school is to never study in my bedroom/living room. I always go to the library/coffee shop after school and my kitchen table when I'm working late at night.

The first thing i do after i finish big exam is cleaning my room and sorting those tons of papers .. second thing is to watch my favourite movie and do some knitting or crochet ... i find that so relaxing and stress relieving ... i usually take 2 days off and start studing again .. i want to thank you for your studing with me videos it really helped me studing for my end round surgery exam last wednesday .. keep going 💗

I definitely agree with the working out. I'm a 4th year med student and an avid fitness gal. I head to gym right after I get off from the hospital and/or class and it works wonders on my ability to concentrate in the evenings. I gym about 3-4 times per week. I also go to sleep usually by 12am...1am the lastest during early weeks of my rotations. Some of my colleagues do all nighters almost every night and the seem to function fine. But for me I'm a monster/zombie if I don't sleep (or eat ha ha). With respect to the work space. I function well when I'm at my work desk (located in my room) or I go downstairs and work on the kitchen table. I dislike my main library because it's way too cold! And I get hungry very often (muscle gains :)) so most times I work at home. At home find your work station and sit there every time you do work! This will build a habit (ahhh the joys of building habits) but remember it will take a while and you may fall off the wagon sometimes but just get right back up on it.

I always have to leave the house. just the process of taking a shower, getting ready, packing study material and reviewing that day's requirements goes a long way to get you started and as we all know, getting started is the hardest part. for me libraries aren't the best option because I cant get food or coffee without wasting a lot of time so a coffee shop + noise canceling headset it is. libraries are great for cram sessions though.

Yes, I still make sure to drink plenty of water, but I do work full-time, and when I get home from work, I'm EXHAUSTED! So a little bit of caffeine here and there is helpful for me.

Tip for people in school atm- high school/ college doesn’t matter, never study or do your homework on your bed and keep phone away for as long as possible, I’ve learned to do my homework and study in my kitchen as it’s usually clean and when I did work on my bed I became lazy and tired, work at a desk or a table in your house or go to a library for no distractions

Hi! I have a question that I would love for you to answer in one of your videos regarding work-life balance: how do you "turn off" work when you get home? I can imagine that work has its challenges.
