Tip #1, watch this video 100 times. Tip #2 actually take the advice & move your team around the map quickly while keeping your heavy alive as they steamroll every other team. Heavy is a cannon, with a heal beam & defibs behind mr Heavy.. he becomes a warship. S'a team game👍

if you have a Defibrillator ready to go and about to or already in a fight and my revive statue is right in front of you, maybe use it and not run past me to chase some guy only to get killed also screw chance and logical outcomes, i unreasonably solo team wiped like 9 good teams in the past 3 days if you are in a 1 vs 3, screw it revive teammate and beliiiiieeeeeeeeevvvvvvve

I think players. Especially medium need to remember they need to be firing that gun and collecting damage for your team. Dont take every fight but continuous good damage while staying alive helps your team greatly. Keep firing.

Be at least faster then heavy. Im playing heavy and often in process of rotation I'm getting ahead of my team(as a heavy!!!). So when medium deploys his pad or zip he's doing it behind me and I dont get to use it or have to go back.

turret still rocks in mid elo matches, surprisingly great for light counter, and a nice support to stall pushes.

plus like the heal beam, its effectiveness scales much higher if every medium of your triple medium team uses it turning a pea shooter into a death trap in the right scenarios further more you can place it on a carriable and phase it through walls, damaging and confusing the opponents on the other side and if you get the right distance and angle they can't destroy it

I’m not a great player (Gold currently), but most players, especially mediums, have issues with over committing on fights that have no value or running off on their own. Turret - I use it as a “radar” to give me hit markers when somebody is coming from a flank

You also shouldnt defib a team mate if you know he is gonna get farmed from the enemy the moment he is revived. In that case you should relocate his statue to somewhere safer prior to the defib or provide cover for him to get his revive off safely.

I have a question... Why did you and your team go for the second cashout at 4:30? I'm asking, because you already had the win for sure, if you could've just kept one cashout. Just wanna ask, because isn't that a huge risk, leaving one cashout behind?

It turns out it was a good idea as later in the round orange pulled off a crazy comeback and doubled the last cashout and basically matched us in points, but we didn’t have to worry about it because we had gotten all the previous cash boxes. I didn’t show it in the video cause it wasn’t related to medium and more macro gameplay but it definitely did help out after all. Especially in ranked when you can lose cash. As for it being risky, technically yes, but it’s the most optimal strategy with well coordinated teams. You also get a lot more cash from kills which adds up

Thats the right way to play support medium. You should also bring the defib and never use it. Oh and goo nades to block your team mates exit points while fighting

Once you know how to deal and play around turrets they become minor inconveniences at best - at ruby rank (my current rank) there’s just better options than turret, demat and heal beam will usually give you way more value in general. Except maybe Kyoto, I can see turrets being ok in that map.

Before pike nerfs and after model nerfs. Pike is still good IMO but no longer the best at everything, so if you don’t want to use pike any of the assault rifles and model are all great weapons to use for medium rn

I see taking both cashouts as a dumb move. If you're winning and you can pull out that move, then you don't have much to get from it. Your team's position is still the top, and you only add more risk to your situation. If you're losing and need to pull out a hail mary, then the likelyhood of success is close to none. If you have trouble progressing through a single cashout defense, how can you think of doing two? The only case when this is viable is when the cashout is lying there for free, with no one around to defend it.

AKM should unironically work like it does in most FPS games. A skilled weapon with hard to control recoil that has a lower ttk than the other medium weapons outside of the magnum and model close range. Crazy it's the gun with zero recoil and a big mag in this game edit: the amount of times I've been defibbed in the middle of the open with the medium taking a death for me and leaving me in an almost impossible to get a way scenario unless I'm playing light which there's a small chance in low skilled lobbies 😂I swear, some of the players feel pressured to immediately play their support role in the worst way possible. I'm not gonna yell at you homie. There are toxic players that would unfortunately and maybe that's affected them... no one in low skilled lobbies or world tour should tell people their aim sucks or whatever. Like dude, you aren't losing points or anything. Also, you're likely solo queueing in that case. You have to expect that. If you want people of equal skill level as yourself, there is discord.

Gotta say good video but I 100% disagree with conserving your defib. I never let my teammates manually revive each other if I have defibs. The number of times I have seen people think they are safe after a fight and then get third partied while trying to revive or waste time running around with a token to revive somewhere safe when there isn't anyone around. Don't overthink it 99% of the time it's better to just defib. If nothing else even if a manual revive would have worked using the defib instead will get you to the next objective that much sooner. This is a game where time is at a premium, it's crazy how often matches come down to mere seconds. If you have a team you can communicate with this might be less of a rule but playing with randos 100% just defib it'll save you from watching them do a lot of dumb things. Just my opinion as a fellow medium!
