I love, love, love, love, LOVE the sound of the ocean. It soothes me down to the depths of my soul. WHY would anyone turn on man-made music and ruin that heavenly sound for everyone else?!!!!????!!!!! I was at the beach last week. It was the first time I had been able to go for at least two years. Guess what! I got to hear country music! No waves! Broke my heart.
@lukebertrichardson77996 ай бұрын
To listen to the beach, you have to go to your hotel room about 2 pm, build pillow sound chamber pillow under, to three sides of, and over your head, lay down sticking head into sound chamber area, push conch shell into sound chamber. Relaxation at it's finest.

Agree with you so much. My last beach vacation was ruined by people on either side playing music. First the ones on the left started then when they left a pile of teenage girls and their mom started up the most uninspired "country" music I had ever heard. So inconsiderate!!! I got only pockets of the sound of the waves and birds.

All I need for a great beach trip is to make sure my gas tank is full, grab a book and my headphones to block out the sound of other humans, and a nice cold drink of any kind. 1) The stops we made on the drive out growing up were for lunch, pee breaks/running out pent up kid energy at rest stops, and getting boxes upon boxes of fruit from the roadside fruit stand (we had a lot of people, and we made so much fruit salad). 2) Sand toys were a thing, but chairs less so. Instead we had enough inner tubes that it looked like we robbed 2 18 wheelers of their tires. 3) Walmart was not an option because there wasn't one. Instead we'd bring all our non-refrigerated food and supplies from home because the only store within 2 hours was an overpriced IGA with a monopoly on the market - otherwise you were stuck going over to the Food Lion the next town over. The year that the Food Lion opened just off the island we rejoiced and we quickly figured out when it was crowded versus not. There is now a "grocery only" Walmart, but I've never set foot in it.

And here in coastal MS if you get tired of the beach, there are other things to do, like the Mississippi Aquarium or the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies (often referred to as IMMS), a morning or afternoon at Margaritaville Biloxi or a day at Big Play (a mega bowling/arcade/minigolf/amusement park wonderland complex on Highway 90), the Model Train Museum on Pass Road, and in the evening you can hit up a minor league baseball game if the Shuckers are playing at home. The Biloxi Shuckers would love your company! Go Shucks! (P.S. Eat at Shaggy’s. Any of the three locations. You will not regret it. No not go to SharkHeads.
