It's really simple, just start straightening as normal from the root, twist where you want the curl to start, then slowly pull and you're done :)

I have a Remington straightener and no matter what I do I can't seem to curl my hair with it. Its like when I try to pull the straightener down after the hair is wrapped around it just stops and won't move down my hair. Any suggestions? This is the exact look I'm going for, its so beautiful!

Kelsey Mcgill When sliding it down make sure you aren't wrapping the hair around the iron, you kind of want to be twisting it as you move down, also make sure the plates of your iron pivot! If they dont then that could be a problem. And thank you for watching :)

Whenever I try to curl my hair with the straightener I find that I clamp the straightener too tight so that the hair struggles to get through. This results in the top half being curled and the bottom half being this dorky piece of thing because it can't get through the cermaic plates. But looking at your technique where half way down the piece of hair you kind of flick the straightener out while twisting at the same time so you continue the curl (probs not making sense right now) I now have something to practice to see if I can get a decent curl all the way down!

***** I looove coconut oil, in fact on the days I wash my hair before jumping into the shower I will apply the coconut oil onto my hair and let it saturate it for about 30 min before washing my hair. It really penetrates the hair and deep conditions so definitely give that a try. Also, when it comes to straightening, you just have to make sure to use a heat protector and I try to only put the iron to my hair after washing it, and leave the style as is until my next wash :)

I found this so hard to do, though I think its because my hair straightener is 5+ years old and my heat protectant makes my hair feel like ive just used an iron on hairspray. I so badly aant this to work though, its such a cute look xx

Jacinda Tynan Definitely try a heat protectant that moisturizes your hair and doesn't dry it out and it could be your iron's age, but just make sure the plates are clean and are a little moveable :)

Thank you lol and I just answered you previous comment :) but here I will tell you a little on how I asked for my hair to be cut: So when I first went short I did a asymmetrical bob that was at the nape of my neck with the front being a little longer, that was about a year ago and since then I have been growing in out. When my best friend last cut my hair it was at about this length and she only took off maybe about an inch, BUT we decided to go with long layers and I had already had bangs so that is why the front pieces are a little shorter. My advice is to tell your hair dresser that you would like a "long bob" with the front being layered and longer. Let me ask my friend if she has anything more specific you could say if you want a cut like this and i'll get back to you :)

I do actually have my hair on the thicker side, and it's a good thing to consider. I will say that when my hair was at this length I did have to style it more since us with thick hair (and I have curly) couldn't just leave it as is so it was a little more work :/
