As a ken player i'd add two things. Firstly after the first ginrai kick you can always dp, lvl1 or lvl3. It just beats all the options after. So if you want to cash out its basically free after the first ginrai kick (and very doable to react to it). Secondly, be aware of the high low mixups he has after certain combos, they are very strong. Look for them after the run tatsu and the run lash kick.

It's not "basically free" because ken can just choose to not do the follow up depending on the type of jinrai and kill you

As someone who plays Guile i absolutely love when Ken's do dragon lash in neutral because i can just flash kick it. Classic Guile basically has modern reactions and its fantastic (same applies to Marisa blanka and honda as well)

Its pretty insane how big the gap between Ken and #2 (Cammy) is in usage. Every other character falls between maybe 0,3-0,5% difference between the one above/below them and then from Cammy to Ken it's almost a 5% jump lmao

I feel like the biggest thing I struggle with against Ken is him doing fireball into drive rush = instant neutral skip, normally I parry but it’s difficult for me to defend after that mostly

Kens fireball is mad slow unless they use ex. So if they're doing the normal fireball try react with a jump in/di for big damage and if they're using the ex, well that's a lot of drive gauge spent.

​@sepnax di isn't really a good answer to this as most of us kens follow that fireball with dr st.hp, which is cancellable into di. A good neutral jump over the fireball if you have a good falling button, or a perfect parry into a reversal can be great ways to get ken to stop doing it.

As Marisa against Ken I just learn not to panic... use Gladius charge punch or qcb+grab... she can't really pressure Ken too long in the corner so I just wait like a cobra😈😈. Because after 1 touch... his health bar goes on sale🤣

Ken always seems to have some pesky attacks in every street fighter. Free Plus block BS moves like dragonlash and ridicoulous corner carry & side switch in any situation. Scrubiest character in every street fighter.
