Hi I am starting to use your technique for overcoming target panic, but the style of playing archery in my country (Bhutan) and others are different. We shoot 145meters long and we do not use the release aid, we shoot through finger..People go very crazy in archery game in my country and its our national game too... So, i wonder have you got any tactic to get rid off this target panic which I've been struggling for over decades, one time I nearly gave up this game. I'm very steady with a gun both open sight and scope. bow hunting and target shooting I shake and move around I can not steady myself, I have tried different bow setups and sights and releases no matter what I move around and shake. What I found that works best for me is releases on a string set as light as they will go and a single pin sight and as soon as my pin crosses target where I want my arrow I release I can't try to steady and focus as soon as my pin is where I want my arrow I release If I try to focus and steady I just shake and move around even more and causes both pin and target to blur. Every one at the range where I shoot say I look like a speed shooter cause I just wing arrows on target but I have never been able to draw and steady and focus, if I try to my arrows are all over and no grouping what so ever but if I wing them my way I can get a tight group

Great help I always thought those lens was for people that need glasses lol...i have learned alot from you vids got a thum release got as much travel as possible and doing better but pin always blurring so I will be ordering one of those kits tomorrow ...any recommendations on what brand?

Is there any reason that I would have better groups at longer ranges, such as forty or fifty yards than I would at twenty?

I used to have the same problem, my groups at 20-30 would look exactly the same as 40-50 yard groups. I've corrected this by spending lots of time at 20-30 yards and aiming at a very small spot at the center of the target.

I don’t even understand the term. Target panic is movement of the pin over and around the target?

Thank you for these series. I'm new to archery (3 weeks) after watching your videos I went out and hit 3 bulls eye out of 6 arrows. The other 3 were real close at 20 yards. I'd usually get may be 3 bullseye in 50 arrows and I'm pretty sure those were pure luck at that point. Thanks again

Levi, I've been bowhunting for 41 years. I had to learn it on my own. I have always had some type of target panic, so these videos are helpful. I don't use a peep at all. I tried one many years ago, but felt like it would be useless in low light conditions. I've used kisser buttons and now use a rear sight or hindsight in conjunction with a single pin. I also use a large sight pin for visibility in low light. I've harvested a lot of deer in 41 years, but let a lot walk because of my limited shooting distance. What do U reccomend for strictly hunting as far as pins, and peeps ?

I learned to just judge the yardage n let the pin float n keep pulling the first time i made the cut for the world in snowshoe ! I could do anything else lol

Question I'm 60 I have some issues seeing thinks clearly due to aging eyes.(need readers) I have a Black & Gold pro on my TRIAX, any recommendations for scope or peep changes that might improve things. I recently got contacts due to my eyes declining with age and needing more than just my reading prescription. With that comes a whole new issue with trying to find the correct verifier and classifier for my setups. Thanks again!

What if you can’t see the target, but your pin Is clear. Even at 20 yards I can’t see the X on a Vegas face target with my single pin sight. I shoot with a 31 inch draw and wear glasses. I can see the target just fine till I look through the peep and sight then the target is totally blurred. Any advice?

Ok so I’m Assuming you’re shooting with a lens? You’re going to need a clarifier If your target is blurry but pin isnt. It’ll clear the target picture up. Focus on the target not the pin. If you aren’t shooting a lens you may be shooting too small of a peep aperture for your eye. Trial and error is the name of this game.

I was taught clear front sight, blurry target. Works for me with bow, pistol, shotgun, and rifle. Marine Corps marksmanship that I brought over to anything I shoot, works for me! Everyone is different, but focusing on that front sight pin works for me.

@@zacharytruskolaski350 everyone is indeed different. although I bet if you change a few things and see for yourself that having a clear pin AND target and seeing what you want to hit is going to make a world of difference. Having a blurry target is less than ideal and doesnt make any sense really. Focusing on the pin during the execution of your shot is a big no no. If you are focusing on the target your pin will always reset to the middle subconsciously as long as you can accept the float. Youd be surprised once you overcome target panic what your mind can do. itll take resetting your form and mental pretty much completely to get them to execute a proper shot. good luck!

WANNA B PSE your head is sinking into the string? I think you might mean your head is pulling off the string which would lead to your housing going out the bottom of your peep. First check your draw length, make sure when you draw you don’t have to move your head really at all. The string needs to come right to your nose. Make the bow fit you, not you fitting to the bow. Next, if you’re pulling off the string, that’s a sign of target panic. Your trying to get the bow to shoot but it won’t go so you’re body wants to start moving your head in a backwards motion to get it to go. You have to practice back tension on that one, lots of practice and reps. Also try a nose button or a kisser button that way you can feel yourself pull off or not, you have to get in your head to keep on that anchor point. If you’re shooting a hinge, usually people pull their heads if it’s set too cold, resulting in the shot taking to long to break when you’re wanting it to break earlier so you start pulling everything to get it to go. Set it a littler hotter and find a sweet spot. Trial an error.

aaron litman how can my head b coming off the string of my nose is still on the string my nose never leave the string and I have fitted the bow to me when I draw the string comes right to my nose head never moves at all it’s like my back hand is going up almost and I pull threw the shot every time it’s like the peep goes up a lil but my head stays the same
