1:36 Seems the studio wanted to censor this for some silly reason. In the manga, the story is about a s** worker who was being harassed. After her p**p sold her out, she tried to escape and call the police. But before she could do that, she was caught, SAed and brutally killed. She was a victim in life and became a monster in death. The anime decided to turn her into a gold-digger for a reason that isn't very flaterring for the ones who made that choice.

Peer pressure, bullying, SA, etc. It doesn't hold back on highlighting the messed up things that happen to people, unlike most other Shonen series, and uses it as a premise for its own story.
