I haven’t stepped foot in a barbershop since I was probably 16-17 years old. I used to be in them every week. I started cutting my hair around that time as a hobby and as a way to save some money. Fast forward 10 years - I’m 28 now and it suddenly dawned on me one day that I can’t see myself happy doing anything else. Starting barber school in a month and have never felt happier and more excited for something. Love your videos man. Thanks for the inspiration.

I'm a student senior barber at Bennett Career Institute. I love your story. It seems you have come a long way. The only suggestion I would say is to get a barbers license. It would help if you decide one day to own and open up your own barber shop or work in a elite barber shop.

I currently haven't done either. I plan on it right after I graduate. But the only thing I advise is starting. lol. Sounds simple, but too many times I get stuck in this thoughtful state and forget to just start. Start somewhere, and learn as you go, because that's the best way to learn.

Well first if no one will give you the opportunity to cut their hair for practice. Give yourself the opportunity... cut you're own hair. Next find someone who doesn't care about their hair. You want to stay away from trying to convince people to sit your chair, and try to find a way to attract the people who want to. Let them know your goals. People love a good story. Tell them you want to be a great barber and you'd love for them to be apart of that practice. Hell show them this video, and say you want to be able to do that. Find the people that want to help, rather than force people.
