most important is to understand if oneself have or do not have real understanding and ability to analyze adequately and correctly, so not deceive oneself. I think you need to understand this too, as some of your abilities to analyze seems to need some work. This is a help to you not a bashing. I too am not all perfect BUT on my way to become better. If we think we know x, then we are not open to really get to know x. But the advice reg. seeing fighting as a chessgame etc. is great point!

Well done. When funds become available, Get a good trainer who cares about your health and progress that can give you a deeper understanding of the arts. That person is worth the investment, more than gear imo. Next, find an assortment of training partners you can grow with. Proper Drilling and sparring are gonna be your knowledge checks to see if you have indeed learned the fundamentals. There are things actual humans can teach you that can expand on the techniques you’re learning. Like how to stay calm. Or how to read your opponent. Better yet a good team can teach you when NOT to do certain things, based off of their collective experience in the arts. Lastly, any real fighter isn’t a solitary individual. Discipline is crucial component. Not isolation. It takes a team/village to raise one fighter. Battle buddies, and your coaches, will hold you accountable, push you when you need it, and will catch you when you fall. Chok dee 🙏

If you want to learn the basics self taught is okay but if you actually want to be a good fighter you need a coach and sparring partners
